This is the third time I’ve gone into Howdens to discuss options on insurance renewals - car, house and travel. As always I found the staff attentive, well informed and very down to earth in their approach. Each time I have managed to get a better deal that suited my needs and the whole thing was conducted in a relaxed and pleasantly engaging manner. I ended up confident with the deal I’d got.

Reece Robinson was a blessing in disguise!
My hubsand decided to get a brand new GLB AMG Premium plus car for me but unfortunately I had 0 years No Claim Bonus and no policy was willing to provide cover.
After speaking with Reece, not only was he able to pull some strings, but he got me a cover for £900yearly! A huge drop from the +£2k quotes I was getting. Considering I was a 'new driver' and the value of the car..
I don't think I would've gotten this anywhere else. We also did this all in a couple of hours, and the next day I was already insured.

Howden’s are great and I use them for both car and house insurance. They do all the hardwork, sort out the quotes and always get the right cover at the best price. If I ever get my own quotes, I can find cheaper ones but always with less cover/higher excess. Definitely recommend them.

The member of staff who took my renewal call was professional,courteous, helpful and made really useful comments and suggestions. She considered my options and the relative merits. It's a massive advantage to have a physical branch in town, and once you factor in the staff who always get to the point and know exactly what you want and the best way to get it for you, INSTEAD OF telling you do go on the internet or download an app or some crap like that, one comes away very relieved that there is still a business that believes in doing things the proper way.
