The first time I’ve used Howden Insurance for my car insurance. Was getting so fed up with the comparison sites. They can’t cope with certain professions or working situations. The drop down parts are just so limited.
Howdens allows you to talk to a human. Found the guys there very good to deal with. Friendly and professional . They care about getting you sorted . Thank you.

I purchased a camper van from Somerset Motorhomes and in the pack was a flyer with Howden's contact details in for Motor/Camper van insurance. All I can say is from the first moment I made a call the service was outstanding, nothing was to much trouble, looked for the best price (yes, I understand that this is their job) and explained everything throughout and called back when the said the would. I did take insurance out with them and going forward will always go direct to Howdens now. This is what customer service should be about. Amazing and a special thank you to Kerry Cornwell from Howden's that dealt with me throughout.

Having had car insurance quotes from usual comparison websites, decided to give Howdens a try having read their reviews. Piotr rang me, very competent & friendly and not pushy. Gave me quote & cover I was happy with so asked him to ring me back in 2 weeks for payment just before my renewal was due. This he did, on the morning we had arranged. He then went back through my cover, and explained some ‘add-on’ products. I’m usually very wary of these, but one was of interest, which for a relatively small amount gives me 25% on top of market value should my car be written off. Never heard of it before but seems worth having. Having sorted the car insurance, Piotr then quoted me for buildings & contents insurance which is also due soon. Unfortunately this time, the best quote was nearly double my renewal so politely declined. Overall extremely pleased with customer service I received from Piotr & would recommend.

Howden’s have supplied my motor insurance for several years now. I keep renewing with them because they have demonstrated time and again good value, policies that meet my needs and outstanding customer service. I spoke with Maria at the Welwyn office today who sorted out my renewal and saved me money! She was friendly, courteous and professional. All in all, exemplary service. Do yourself a favour, speak to Howden’s.

Brilliant company. Here's the thing, when you ring up they don't: pretend they can't understand you, they don't pretend they don't understand what you DON'T want, they don't take the wrong amount of money out of your bank, they don't insult you, they are not: sexist, discriminatory or prejudice (and I've experienced all of that) they don't put you on hold forever, they get on with it, they don't waste your time, they are professional and they know insurance. They are BRILLIANT! Thank you.
