This was taking out Insurance on a new(used) vehicle after our previous one was written off after an accident.
I dealt with the Abingdon Office and probably spoke to every member of staff during the process and they could not have been more helpful making everything run smoothly.I might add that I always find the staff extremely polite and helpful in any contact I have had in the past.

Much time was taken searching for a less costly car insurance renewal policy, with repetitive inclusion of personal information each time. Finally a personal suggestion made us contact a local broker who pleasantly took all our details and came back with an offer. There was a problem with one aspect which was understood as she too could be affected when a partner could no longer drive. This involvement
and the understanding sealed the deal, which was not possible on the internet. There was little gain on total cost, but we were happy with the personal service.

For me, the business of renewing insurance is always stressful. However, being able to do so through Howden has been a positive experience. Whether talking over the telephone, or visiting the local branch, the staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They work hard to find the best value, and there is always the satisfaction of knowing that someone is on hand if problems arise.

Other companies were cheaper but as I’ve been a loyal customer for many years they were able to match the offers . Howden is also a local company and I am able to pop in if any problems arise , customer support is alway there with a friendly supportive face not a voice on the phone

I deal with B,ham branch, staff very helpful. I'm not that good with computer so not keen on these on line only quotes. Although all paperwork etc is done on line the staff at Bham office very patient with me and so helpful, explained everything in detail. I learnt so much from them about insurance. Not just the yes/no answers they took the time to explain any questions I was not sure about.
Howden is a company that you can speak to a human instead of machine. When you phone they answer quite quickly and you are not stuck in a queue. I found them very helpful, sorted out good quotes for me. Insurance has gone up so much this year that I had to shop around, getting quotes from a number of companies but found Howden the most helpful and efficient. You spoke to someone knowledgeable and efficient not the normal call centre that just tick boxes.
