Maria O made renewing our buildings insurance so straightforward and clear. Everything was explained thoroughly and any questions answered very compassionately. Information was sent through promptly. It was much easier to speak to Maria than attempting carry out research on the internet, I would have absolutely no hesitation in dealing with Howden again and recommending the company to family and friends.

I had forgotten I had told Howdens about my house insurance when I took out car insurance. My current insurance renewal came through over Christmas with a 100% increase so when Howdens phoned me I was more than interested to hear what they could do. they were able to save me £100 straight away. I still wanted to compare prices so they agreed to call me back later in the week but sent the quote through in the meantime. Although I could have saved a few pounds by going through a comparison site I got the impression that Howdens were working in my best interest on how they presented the risk to the insurer. A pleasure to do business with and no pressure to pay for unneeded extras.

Really good to be able to talk to a UK call centre/branch. Plus there are local branches that you can go to if needed.

Spent an hour on the phone to Luana from the Thatcham branch sorting out 3 car policies. She was very helpful, professional and patient and did her best to get the most competitive prices possible. Refreshing to be on the phone with someone cheerful while dealing with something like insurance.

Howdens (formerly A Plan) have looked after my car insurance for over 20 years and have always provided an excellent service. This year I changed insurer as I was not happy with the incumbent insurer's premium increase and they found a similar multi-car policy for a saving of £500 pa. Ash and Tasmyn were particularly helpful in Matt's absence.

It's so nice to be able to speak to a human and get a reasonable quote, rather than whatever a computer spits out. I was getting stupid quotes for a car I don't use very often and was just going to sell it, but now I can enjoy it again, when the sun comes out.
