I have recently insured an 'enthusiast car' through Howden's. The standard online comparison marketplaces were too restrictive and not able to adapt to the circumstances (a higher-risk modified vehicle but with lower-risk anticipated low annual mileage). Ewan at Howden's was able to offer me a policy that was better than I could find online, at a reasonable price but too restrictive on vehicle storage location. I requested another sweep of the market without this restriction and Ewan then found me a different but still price-competitive policy that fitted my requirements well. The policy was put in place. Howden's provided a quality service experience with a great result and I recommend them.

Having had a very high quote from a company I had been with for 10 years I contacted Howdens. The person asked me all relevant questions and then proceeded to outline what could be done for me. The person knew the product and was very informative giving me various options and clearly explaining every one in detail. It is so nice to speak to a human being on the phone who does not rush you and will not sell you something you do not want.
I now have insurance cover at half the price of my existing company without any loss of cover or extras.
I cannot recommend the service highly enough and will encourage others to give them a try

They have taken on an insurance book from another company and so, have had few little problems but all sorted. Staff always friendly and try to sort things for you with as little pain as they can. I will continue to use Howdens. Yes would recommend as is so nice to talk to a person in this world we live in.
