I was transferred to Howdens from my previous insurance broker and must admit was a little sceptical at first However going into my second year with them now they have been absolutely fantastic. Whilst I have never visited the branch their customer service over the phone and through email and post are outstanding

I insured my car with Howden, and it was good to actually speak to a human being, rather than a robot at the end of the phone, which sadly seems to be the norm for most insurance companies today. My previous car insurance company was a nightmare to deal with.
It's also very helpful to know that if I need any assistance from Howden in the future, it's only a phone call away.
Not the cheapest quote, but worth spending a little more for the convenience.

I struggled to get my car insurance and recovery sorted. The staff were helpful but there were a few confusing issues and a couple of errors which I picked up on. I found it a bit of a challenge but hopefully it will be easier in the future.

We dislike there is no local office near to us now other than Cheshire or Wakefield, and we were not able to book RAC Breakdown Cover as we could with our previous local based insurer. However the staff were pleasant and efficient and the price was good. We will also possibly be trying other types of insurance when we will be in a better position to judge.
