We received 5* service from Wimbledon's A-Plan team (Charlie is a star). Having had our policy terminated over the phone by our existing insurer (Zurich - who were unable to cover some additional items we recently bought) we called A-Plan Wimbledon in a panic to try and remedy this. Within an hour, not only did we have the best quotes, but we had an entirely new policy up and running and could therefore breathe easier. Can't recommend this service enough and looking forward to working you in future.

I wrote a review of this company based on my experiences, but mainly prompted by one experience which I subsequently described. I have since been contacted by the branch manager, Lottie, who I feel has a genuine passion and desire to provide a good service, and we discussed at some length my experience(s) from which I reached the following conclusions
1. My insurance costs were marginally lower than I had been paying before....perception trumps reality.
2. You can't please all the people all the time, what seems to work for a great many of A plan's customers may not be suited to me.
3. Leave 24hrs before writing a review. While I recounted accurately my experience it was one event, and while it still happened, may not be an accurate reflection overall.
I have added this update based on the fact that I was suitably impressed with the the commitment to service of the branch manager that I felt some balance was appropriate.

I went to A Plan because I was fed up with escalating home insurance costs and confusing and time consuming internet price comparison sites. Our house is big and old and quirky, which doesn't fit with internet insurance providers view of the world. At A-Plan, Archie Brinton was assigned to me and straight away I felt like I had stepped back about 40 years, to a time when nothing was too much trouble, the customer was always valued, service came before profit and true professionals still existed! Through a series of calls, Archie found a fantastic deal for me, almost halving my buildings and contents insurance cost for no loss of cover...in fact, I have now got increased cover on contents!
Archie was not actually alive 40 years ago...I am not even sure if his dad would have been either - and yet his calm and reassuring manner is something you would expect from someone three times his age!
The business as a whole seems great too. Archie referred to his boss when really unusual matters arose - she responded immediately with intelligence and professionalism.
Overall I cannot recommend this company enough! Forget Compare the Market - save a lot more money by getting yourself a real old fashioned insurance broker, with knowledge, grace and style!

This is the insurance for my second vehicle, an older car with low mileage, that I use as a run around. My main vehicle is a classic camper van on a restricted mileage. I paid more than I really wanted to for this insurance from A Plan, but very satisfied with the customer service as I was in the process of moving house when I bought the car, generally a good company.

In second year of home insurance policy on a listed holiday property located in an area susceptible to flooding. Not always easy to find an insurer that will take such a property on but A-plan have provided cover at a reasonable cost, although they won't cover for flood.
