I was able to speak to someone in person and go through the questions required by Howden to provide a quote. This was so much better than online application with the associated danger that you might have missed something that later invalidated any claim. Although my insurance is expensive I am confident I am covered.

Excellent experience. Easy to speak to a person rather than wade through endless menus, to then only speak to a machine. The human touch is still priceless. Very informative, efficient and helpful. All my questions were answered immediately or by return of email. The cost was also incredibly competitive. All in all, an excellent example of how to sell a product in a friendly, professional manner.

I recently worked with Julian Bevan at Howden while trying to sort out my health insurance, which initially felt like quite a complicated situation. I had previously been dealing with a well-known insurance broker who, unfortunately, made the process feel even more confusing and left me thinking I only had one option available to me.
Julian completely turned that around. From our first conversation he was reassuring, knowledgeable, and clearly very experienced. He took the time to properly review my situation, did a deep dive into the details of my cover, and came back with several options that I didnât even realise were available.
The whole process was handled incredibly efficiently and with a real sense of care. Thanks to Julianâs guidance I now have a much more suitable policy and a significantly lower premium than I expected.
I genuinely canât recommend Julian and the team at Howden highly enough.

Initially I had to wait for a call back which came within 2 Minutes or so. Staff were professional but friendly and quickly provided a competitive quote from a well known and established company. Just switched to an EV and my existing providers were unable to provide cover. As the purchase had already been agreed this was concerning but Howdens took it all in their stride and quickly offered reassurance and a competitive quote. Car purchase is a stressful process though enjoyable and this company dealt with the situation very well providing the cover needed quickly and competetively.

Called in at my local branch in lower parkstone poole.
I spoke with Tyler and Georgina both were very professional and helpful fully explained what would happen and when.
They are both a credit not only to Howdens but also to the insurance industry.
I certainly have no intension on leaving Howdens.

You can speak to actual Human Beings on the phone to discuss your requirements and history so they can offer the right policy at a competitive price - especially if your car is unusual or non-standard. I've stopped using the comparison sites and will be moving my other policies over as they become due (assuming the prices are also as competitive).
