As a retired Chartered Insurance Practitioner and Chartered Loss Adjuster, I have experience with the antics of many insurers today, much of which saddens me but A-Plan are a rose in the desert. A proper broker with staff who know what they are doing and not the untrained bunch you might come across in call centres. Take my tip and if you want to get a measure of the price then use a search engine but do not buy there. Remember, "feel the quality not the width". You just might be unlucky and have a claim and then you need a proper broker like A-Plan at your back.

Good all round service the only bug bear is every year they send me a renewal which is always higher than other major insurers
I then have to go on to go compare to find out what the rest of the major insurers are quoting to then go back to them on the phone
They then knock down there price to be online with most the other insurers which is frustrating

I've been a customer for years, but for my car insurance. Now I've got home in insurance. I have always found them to be very helpful, friendly, professional and always give sound advice. They have always deal with you on an individual basis and not just another customer. One of the main reasons I stay with them.
