I produced the schedule from my current Contents and Car insurer and asked if they could match cover and /or improve the price.
As my visit was just before the weekend I returned a few days later and was given a very good price for comparable Contents insurance , A-Plan wasn't able to improve on my Car insurance cover for this year.
Next year I shall be visiting them again for a quote.

Initially the quote had increased from the previous year, which as a long term customer I was not impressed with, but after a phone conversation the renewal price was reduced to match last years price, which I accepted.

This review relates to my experience with A-Plan - haven't had dealings since it became Howdens - hope is that service and competitive pricing remains as good as previously - watch this space. Always sceptical when flyers land offering products and services - claiming to be the best at what they do and at a lower price. You spend time following up and the result is no better, or its worse or of marginal financial benefit.
I had reason to look around for car insurance given the compalency of my existing provider at renewal. Lower mileage this past year and claim free for years previously - no credit given for lower risk and no discussion regarding premiums after year two increases last year which I took on the nose. ('T ake it or leave it - your choice'!)

Surprise, surprise, A-Plan certainly came up with a competitive offer and not only that, customer service was exceptional - friendly, quick and efficient and I was happy to switch the insurance for two cars to them immediately. It just doesn't get any better than this and its a real pleasure to say so. I am more than happy to recommend A-Plan based on my experience. 👍😊

In what seems to be a rarity these days I found some old school personal service here. I contacted A Plan on the recommendation of a garage and was not disappointed. I had a need for commercial van insurance, public liability and tools of trade. I spoke with 3 people from the Tooting office; Luke Morley for the van insurance, Birinder Bedi for the Liability and tools and in addition Mark Fletcher about Buildings an contents insurance. All three were personable and helpful, put up with some of my awful jokes and spent time tracking down the right deal for me. It was a stark contrast to some of the other organisations that I have dealt with. I spent a considerable time on the phone and was quite happy to do so as they genuinely seemed to be trying to find the best deal for me as an individual. I took out 2 policies to start with and will surely go back to them for additional cover in the future. Well done.
