A true old fashioned insurance broker. We have never been convinced of the business model that persuades you that you can go on line and save a fortune. Maybe you can, but is it like for like and are you stuck in a queue for hours, talking to different people who tell you a different things in your hour of need? And believe me, your hour of need may be pretty stressful. Forget it, a proper broker sorted out exactly what I needed. Give A plan a try.

Have been using Price Comparison sites for many years & had forgotten how good a reliable & knowledgeable broker could be. My daughter recommended A-Plan after my car insurance company for over a decade hiked my insurance premiums by 80% despite no change in circumstances or cover requirements nor any claims in over a decade. My insurer could only offer a 2% reduction when I called them even though I had house & pet insurance with them as well as car. A-Plan when contacted could offer me, with the same insurer, exactly the same cover at a premium over 25% less than the insurer directly. In the end, A-Plan found me an insurer at just under 25% less than my previous insurer who gave exactly the same cover plus breakdown & recovery cover. This was not with an obscure small insurer but with one of the largest & longest established insurance companies in the world.

It's too easy to shop for the cheapest but when it comes to insurance it's nice to have a 'real' person who will explain any complex questions or issues and that's exactly what the A-Plan team does.
Their friendly manner is much better and the chill of a Google search, and I didn't even have to let dig out a long-forgotten password.
I want to support my local high street and was prepared to pay slightly more than an internet price, but not too much more. A-Plan came in on budget and I'm very happy with their follow up information and online portal where my documents are stored safely.
