Once again, A-Plan made renewing my motor policies easy; providing new quotes to compare against existing provider renewals to let medetermine the most suitable for my needs. They would have had 5 stars if they had been able to provide me a quote for Travel Insurance in my local branch rather than redirect me to another branch because it was their 'speciality'.

Generally a good experience but I wonder if their " panel of insurers" is really a wide spectrum of options. I keep getting policies with a traditionally expensive company who, in the case of buildings cover don't offer the more common £1m cover, opting instead for a specified sum, to be determined by the policy holder. There was no advice from the broker how to accurately determine this (eg the RICS rebuild free on line calculator )
Admin fees are a noticeable addition to the police price.
Aftercare service is good, although sometimes I'm made to feel that asking for mailed policy docs is an unnecessary inconvenience. The A Plan document "vault" is cumbersome to navigate.
Can't be certain of "day" for experience.

Prices are very competitive, but what makes this outfit so different from the competition is the level of service they provide and the fact that they are always available to speak to on the phone and are not solely reliant on email correspondence

The overall service is good and your staff are friendly, polite and helpful. However, the proposal process is unnecessarily long and takes too much time, with endless repetition and checking of already known data. When challenged staff refer to procedure and regulation - presumably referring to compliance with FCA regs. However, I deal with several regulated business, including other insurance companies and nobody takes it to the level you do. I insure several cars with you and spend several hours renewing, when as an existing customer it should take a lot less time.
