Easy to get the insurance for my modified classic mini, took a while to get through the quote but got through it, a couple of things wrong on the quote (engine size) which always happens as was previously a 1000 cc car then converted to 1275 cc. Dvla informed and on the log book but always goes back to 1000 cc on the number plate search, but was quickly sorted with a phone call

I phoned the Tooting Branch to renew my House Contents and Building Insurance , after receiving a well timed reminder from Catherine Smith one of your Consultant’s at the Tooting Branch .
We , now have ALL our policies with Howden at Tooting , due to the excellent service received in the past few years .
And today was NO different .Catherine was very friendly and professional in her approach to me .It was immediate that Catherine was very experienced and wanted to provide a high level of Customer Service as a caring person , rather than “its my job , I must get on with it “.
it was refreshing to speak with someone , who understood the times we live in ( everything is,so expensive and rushed ) and went the extra mile
( sorry its a old saying , but not said enough these days ) to ensure I was 100% happy with the both renewals and I fully understood everything .

I contacted Howden Insurance by telephone after receiving a renewal notice from my then current insurers with a near forty percent premium increase from the previous year, which I considered completely unacceptable. (My circumstances had not changed and there had not been any accidents or claims). I explained my situation and my concerns, and was received with patience and understanding. The person I spoke with went carefully through his recommendations so that I fully understood what cover they were offering. This was followed up with emails in explicit detail of the cover, so that I am completely satisfied with the arrangement.
This is the first time in many years that I have received such care and consideration. So, well done to Howden and many thanks.

Wow - what a difference actually being able to speak to someone! I got a great price for my newly converted micro-camper & was able to add/ subtract the options that were not relevant to me because of other cover I had elsewhere. The young man I spoke to couldn't have been more helpful. I shall be calling again next year to get a price for my main car.
