I dislike comparison sites and that time came around for car insurance. You then have to filter what you get and then add ons which make the policy more expensive. I was told to call and i did. Very competitive, everything explained and fantastic customer service. Thank you

I responded to a flyer I'd received in the post which I don't normally do. Any doubts I had were soon allayed by the first class service I received. The person I dealt with, Maria Ormesher, was courteous, thorough, informative, professional and above all not pushy. The icing on the cake was that I came away with insurance for my car which better served my needs than that quoted by my current firm.

Our local insurance broker was taken over by Howden Insurance who contacted us to renew our car insurance. The Howden people who phoned us with renewal quotes were blunt, to the point and not bothered in who we are and what are our needs. They came over as a large organisation who only had a limited amount of time for you. Howden did not do anything wrong but they made you feel like just a number. You would be no worse off picking an online insurer to give your business to if the cheapest quote is all you are interested in. If you are like me and want to make sure you have the best policy for you then I'm not sure Howden are the company for you.

Having tried two comparison sites and unsuccessfully negotiating the insurance quote from my previous insurer, I decided to try Howden Insurance and spoke to Chelsea who was so helpful and lovely. What a breath of fresh air to deal with such an efficient company. My new annual car insurance was so much cheaper and I will definitely be contacting them when my other insurances are due for renewal. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
