The personal touch when you phone any of their branches is truly superb. Their fleet of brokers are helpful in navigating to a reasonable deal. However, it is a game of two halves and the other half sucks. I’m talking about the document vault online. If you have just one car, no problems. However, I have a number of collectors cars and trying to navigate the mess of documents, proposals, quotes etc is a nightmare. Where a sensible person would file by the car registration number, Howden file by document title and this can vary year by year and is all over the place. Be prepared to be swamped. For example I had an Askmid letter through the other day to say two of my cars were uninsured!!! It took me a good hour in the vault to find documents about those cars and confirm that indeed the insurance had lapsed! Not impressed.

Very easy car insurance renewal by phone with Laurie today, who took me through the details clearly, it was a very enjoyable conversation and the cost was a bit cheaper than last year. Much easier than slogging through online questions.

Debbie Hacklett was extremely helpful and provided me with sound advice for my daughter's first dip into car insurance. I was grateful to be able to talk to someone rather than being directed to a website. Debbie's manager was helpful but not pushy. I never got the feeling that she was selling me something.
I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking to take out car insurance for a learner driver/someone who has just passed their test.

The big insurers do not appear to award loyalty hence my reason for contacting a broker. Whilst I have achieved a good price reduction by using your firm, I do think that the £55 fee you charge is over the top. Whilst I understand you have to make money, you will no doubt also receive a commission fee from Ageas with whom you awarded my car insurance to.
