Based in the heart of lichfield it is a great attraction to go and visit. It is stunning from both the outside and inside. There is always activities and events to go to each day of the week which caters for both adults and children. Staff and organisers have always been very friendly every time we have visited.

A beautiful piece of architecture one of the most beautiful cathedrals in England. Lots to see and learn in there. Go to the upstairs chapel it is small.and beautiful. Also invest in a tour. You go where the general public can't. Free entry ask for donations. There is a little shop to buy cathedral things.

Beautiful Cathedral! The detail is outstanding and loved the History of this! A Volunteer went round with us and showed us detail we hadn’t even seen! Highly recommends visiting, its a must if your in the area! The City is beautiful too as there is a beautiful Church which is now a Library! It’s breathtaking!

It is hard to get parked around here. The outside needs cleaning but the inside is beautiful with the odd quirk.

The guides are very good and they can explain all the quirks of the Cathederal.

Lovely building and clearly well used by the community. Web site advertised tour cancelled due to a paid for your taking precedence so watch for that but a very helpful lady did give us a quick tour for which we were most grateful. Well worth a visit.

Definitely an awe-inspiring place to visit. The choir was practising at the time too. My small granddaughter asked why we had brought her into a palace!

Visited the cathedral after dark for their 'Space' event. This was to celebrate the 50 year anniversary of the moon landing. An unusual event in such a religious setting! However, the 'son et lumiere' show was quute breathtaking. It highlighted the architecture and used the space creatively.

I returned a couple of days later for a 'normal' tour.

My experience of the Cathedral was rather esoteric, being a member of a visiting choir singing there. However, I also experienced the building as a typical visitor, and was equally impressed in both guises. Staff and volunteers are uniformly helpful and welcoming and the building itself, which can be seen from across the city, was wonderful. The current moon exhibition meant that some of the Grand vistas inside were rather cluttered and the nave felt rather like a tourist attraction than a place of worship. However, the east end of the building more than made up for it.

Enjoyed looking round this cathedral and learning more about it's history. Volunteers were friendly and helpful and it is nice that you give a donation and not a set entry fee. The current space exhibition gave added interest as we looked round. The stonework inside and outside is amazing as is the wood carving inside.

Zeer de moeite waard om te bezoeken, combineer dit dan met het huis van Erasmus Darwin met tuin tegenover de kerk ingang.
