Beautiful cathedral with amazing architecture. They regularly put on events that we go to and they're always brilliant. The light show they do at Christmas time is definitely worth a visit if you can get a ticket. We park at the multi story car park next to the Premier Inn not too far down the road. There is a lovely gift shop inside too.

Stunning Cathedral, wonderful tours (check on their website) they also have bands/concerts in there, and a magical Christmas light display around the Cathdral in December which is fabulous.

Lichfield Cathedral has definitely got the wow factor as soon as you approach it. Being one of the only cathedrals in the UK to have 3 spires. The detail in the architecture is truly awe inspiring, especially from a building that is over 800 years old. The Cathedral is vast when inside. It has many areas to worship or just gather your thoughts. There is a sense of peace as soon as you enter.
There are many events and activities held at the cathedral daily. I would recommend looking at their website for what's on. They also do a variety of booked tours, including the tower. Morning prayer is at 8am then sightseeing is between 10-5, evening prayer is 5.30pm. There is a small shop at the centre of the cathedral that sells little gifts and local crafts.
Parking can be difficult as of the restricted location, but there is a large public carpark 5min walk away.
The cathedral is free to enter, donations are welcome to help support the upkeep of such an important part of Lichfield

Brilliant tower and spire tour with our excellent guides Scarlett and Sue 👍 both were so knowledgeable about the Cathedral and Lichfield itself, and were more than happy to answer all of the questions from our tour group. As a former tour guide myself, it's easy for groups to feel hurried or hassled due to the logistics of herding people around an unfamiliar space, but there was none of that here! Both our guides were so kind and professional getting us up and down the (many) stairs, and it really made the tour feel relaxed, unhurried, engaging and interesting. I learned so much, and have recommended it to all of my friends!
