We had a fantastic day out at Hertfordshire Zoo. We went mid-week on a Monday and is was lovely and quiet, I Imagine it gets very busy during peak season and weekends. There is a large Dinosaur Park section at the start suitable for young children along with a play area then you progress into the main part of the Zoo which houses all the animals. We ate at the eatery close to the entrance/exit of the park, it was a quick serve cafe - food good quality and speedy service, large portion size which was nice. I would recommend this zoo to anyone interested āāāāā

Buy tickets online as a discount is available.<br>Took my 3 year old grandson and he thoroughly enjoyed the animals but less so the dinosaurs , perhaps a little too lifelike for him with the sound effects though other children seemed more than happy!<br>Lunch in the restaurant was disappointing , the driest chicken Iāve ever been served anywhere as was the burger meat . I should have complained at the time but honestly if youāre going to batch cook the meat at least get rid of it if itās sat there for a long time as I suspect my order had .<br>That said , I would visit again but not the dinosaur restaurant .

Lovely place to visit with kids, tons of animals to see, great playground, well organized place, and staff were always happy to help. Large parking space, and it's free. Definitely recommend.

Zoo has spent a lot of time on aesthetics and layout. Very good experience. Animals wells cared for. Enrichment visible and spaces for them to have privacy. Lots to see and do but not too much walking.

Excellent zoo where the animals are clearly treated really well and great efforts at conservation. Facilities are great. Offerings beyond just the zoo such as the soft play and speedway museum are great for a family day out!

We had a fantastic time at the zoo! It was such a lovely experience for my two little ones, who absolutely adored seeing all the animals. They had a blast running around and especially enjoyed the soft play area. It was a wonderful day filled with fun and excitement! Highly recommend it for families!

Been a few years since we last visited the zoo. Was a very good day out, the zoo has been renovated greatly. only thing that was disappointing was the lack of 'big' animals.
