The zoo is so lovey my kids enjoyed the attractions so much and it was very clean and the workers are very nice always with a smile on their face. A worker Evie was so lovely when my 6yr old child went to buy herself ice cream for the first she was very welcoming. Overall the zoo is a lovely place to go on a weekend!!

We love this zoo, it makes a real effort to make its animals, often rescued, to feel safe and cared for. Young children can get quite close, which is a thrill. An enormous effort on star wars day was much appreciated! Thank you guys 🤩

We had a tiger experience for my husband's birthday and wow, it was absolutely fantastic. The lady, I think her name is Cassie, was fantastic and spent a lot of time answering our questions. She was so knowledgeable and helpful. Would throughly recommend this to anyone. My husband said it was the best present he had ever had and that his dreams had come true.

What can you say! After seeing it on the tv we came as a family group of ten!

Zoo is phenomenal as is the dinosaur park, a great family day out which was worth the money. Drinks etc inside not too overpriced either which helped.

Only negatives to stop a five star review was after paying nearly £200 for ten of us we then had to pay another 20 to ride the train? Also all the adults weren’t allowed in soft play? Seemed very strange but never mind.

The dinosaurs are great and the young lady who was doing the stage intros etc was so friendly and great with the kids!

We had a capybara experience for two on Monday 4th of May and the receptionist was really nice, gave us a drink and some biscuits whilst we awaited our experience to begin, as well as a cute little goodie bag with some freebies! Amelia came to collect us for the experience and it was just a phenomenal time had. Amelia was really great in explaining the safety measures, facts about the capybaras and she accommodated our needs perfectly, would suggest this experience 100%!

A stunning Zoo!! We visited on Sunday May 3rd and had a great day with our kids. Our boys have watched plenty of One Zoo Three and we made a trip down from York as a treat!

The dinosaur area was really well done, the best we've seen in the UK with a fun little train ride aswell.

The Zoo itself is unbelievable, all animals looked very happy and the visibility of the animals was excellent for kids with large glass, lower level glass or lots of look out points. We did 930 to 5 and could have stayed longer, good services on site and we will visit again!! Thank you!

Wow! My experience at Hertfordshire Zoo could not have been better. Thank you so much to all the staff who helped my now-fiancé to arrange the proposal of a lifetime! The animal experiences were top tier and all of the staff were so lovely and thoughtful. They helped to capture all of the experience and I couldn’t be more grateful.

The animals are super cute and the site is easy to navigate. I would highly recommend this zoo to anyone!

Very clean, organised, welcoming. Enclosures for a wide variety or animals. I would top rate this place for Customer service and live shows of the animals.

We took our grandson to Hertfordshire Zoo for a birthday gift of the Capybara experience, an animal he loves. We had a lovely day and were impressed at how well set out the zoo is, we enjoyed seeing interesting animals and birds. The facilities are very good. The staff we spoke to were very helpful and well informed. A big thank you to Nicola for her informative welcome and coffees!! and Amelia who made the Capybara experience very enjoyable for our grandson.

Visiting Hertfordshire Zoo in Broxbourne was an incredible experience that offered so much more than a typical zoo visit. This park is beautifully designed and provides amazing up-close encounters with some of the world's most majestic animals. Standing just inches away from a powerful Amur tiger or watching the curious snow leopards was truly unforgettable.
One of the absolute highlights for me was the World of Dinosaurs. Walking through the woodland trail and seeing over 40 life-sized, animatronic dinosaurs hidden among the trees felt like stepping onto a movie set. The zoo’s commitment to conservation is evident throughout, especially at the Sun Bear and Jaguar habitats. Whether you're a wildlife enthusiast or a fan of prehistoric history, the energy and care put into this park make it a standout destination.

Tips for your visit:
• World of Dinosaurs: This is a must-see! It’s one of the best dinosaur attractions in the UK and perfect for photography.
• Animal Talks: Check the daily schedule for keeper talks—it’s the best way to learn about the individual animals and their conservation stories.
• Land of the Tigers: Make sure to visit the tiger habitat; the viewing areas are exceptional and offer great perspectives of these big cats.
• Family Fun: There are fantastic themed play areas and a splash park, so bring extra clothes for the kids if it's a warm day!
Hertfordshire Zoo is a fantastic blend of education, conservation, and pure fun. It’s easily one of the best day trips from London for families and animal lovers alike. 🦁🦖🐾

This us a great zoo. Not too big, not too small, just right for a day out.

A brilliant variety of animals with space for them. Lots to see as well as the dinosaur park which was fantastic! Staff were friendly!
A bit of wait to get in, unfortunately the space was tight when queuing to get in and the lady behind kept running her buggy into me.

We had a lovely few hours here. All the animals were in really good condition and most had enrichment items in their cages to keep them busy. There is a really good selection of animals from big cats to capybaras. The red panda's were a particular favourite

The dinosour section is a great experience. Walking through with life size models that "come alive" when you approach them

The zoo itself is mostly wheelchair and pushchair friendly, its extremley clean and lots of places where you can have a picnic. We managed to see everything, including lunch within 4hrs. We did go on a weekday though which is quieter. Although not all open, there seemed to be plenty of places to grab something to eat and drink

Would really recommend a visit, once youv'e got your main ticket, you get a wrist stamp so you can leave and return at any point. This was very helpful as we could leave coats/lunch in the car and easily get back to the car park to get things

The zoo does feel more aimed towards young kids, with a lot of parks and live kid entertainment that i found a lot of children wanted to see more than the animals 🤣
I felt the zoo was overall quite small and even the enclosures could be bigger. I am hoping they have more space we don’t see. They all looked healthy, happy and enclosures were clean but i felt the size could be better - for example the Camel’s space seemed tiny compared to Jimmys farm!
The map was a bit confusing too.
If you are looking for half a day trip, defo go. Just felt a bit overall there are better zoos out there.
The margarita pizza was really nice.

A lovely day out for the family. We went on a week day during term time so it was nice and quiet. Was particularly impressed with toilet access in car park, really handy for the children before going into zoo and before car ride home.
