Was a good experience, nice day out and saw a lot of different animals. Sadly there was no tiger or lion out but that's probably because it was hot during the day

Not bad. Expensive for a small farm sized zoo. Claims to have extensive animals but in reality it’s quite basic. Good for young kids and you’re in and out quickly. I’d be highly disappointed if it was with older kids and you’d want to spend more time. Pretty poor value for money and wouldn’t go back. Dinosaur area, however, is good for younger ones but takes around 10 minutes to go around.

Good for a kids, small place, you have to be extremely lucky to see the Lions or Tigers.

We did the red panda experience with Emily (keeper) and Ash ( red panda). The whole experience was an absolute joy. Emily is so knowledgeable and kind and Ash was amazing. He ate from us and was comfortable in his environment. Zoos can have such a bad image but when the right people run one you get a truly positive impact on our world. The animals are cared for deeply by the staff. The volunteers who help keep the park clean and tidy are a real asset and work hard to keep the zoo a positive place for learning. Would definitely recommend Hertfordshire zoo for a day out or an experience. Knowing your money goes towards helping the lives of these amazing animals is worth it.

This membership has made my MAT leave so special, all my family are now members! Honestly has given me so many special memories with my 3 year old and baby. It’s got so much to do in all weathers. We just love walking around it and the staff are so friendly, it’s well maintained and the animals seem well looked after. My daughter loves the climbing stuff, dinosaurs, train, splash park and animals.<br><br>The only thing I’d recommend is more healthier options in the cafe that caters for DF & GF. We often have to bring a pack lunch in. And better more unique toy/gift options to buy in the shops, particular the dino shop (there are SO many stuffed toys)

Excellent zoo! The animals and the zoo itself are brilliant, but what made our day was the dinosaur park. Outside of Universal studios itself these are the best looking dinosaurs you will find! Lovely eating places, great atmosphere etc. Cannot recommend this place enough!

We visited in April what a fantastic day. The whole place is kept clean and tidy animals look happy and healthy. Wheelchair accessible. Toilets clean many place you go they are not but here was nice. My only issue is ive gone to book today and on looking the prices rise now from the weekend as the summer holidays are starting. This has put off going now as they have increased the cost as is school holidays so to me they are taking the mickey really and advantage of people families want to be able to enjoy days out without rising costs as it holiday. My children are grown up now. I will not be returning while holidays are on as the increase. Belive Me we are not tight but that is taking advantage of making money out of people. Come on hertfordshire zoo don't take advantage of people

Cool place, very quiet and peaceful. There's real size dinosaur park, which was somewhat cooler than lions or tigers which ones we didn't even see, because apparently they were hiding somewhere. Snow leopard saved the day though, it was literally next to the window having a lunchtime.

Visited Hertfordshire Zoo on a scorching 30°C day, which made it tough to spot many animals as they were wisely hiding from the heat. Understandable, but a bit disappointing for visitors hoping to see more wildlife up close. The variety of animals felt a bit limited, nothing you wouldn't typically see in other safari parks.<br><br>Food options were quite limited and on the pricey side, but to be fair, the quality was fine and did the job. Staff were friendly and the grounds were well-kept, but overall, it didn’t quite live up to expectations given the entry price.<br><br>Worth a visit if you're local or haven't been to other zoos, but maybe not a must-see on a hot summer day.

Hertfordshire Zoo - ★★★☆☆<br>Hertfordshire Zoo was decent, with some highlights like the sun bears and raised viewing platforms that offer a unique perspective. The park is clean, and the staff are friendly, but I was disappointed by how many animals weren’t visible during my visit—snow leopards and others were nowhere to be seen, which was a letdown. Compared to Colchester Zoo, it feels less impressive; Colchester has a wider variety of animals, better enclosures, and I found the animals there more active and easier to spot. Wow. What a fantastic day we have had here. You can see the animals are very well looked after, enclosures are very clean, staff are really happy, really friendly and super knowledgeable. They have lots of talks on the animals throughout the day.<br>Whole zoo was very clean, eating areas, toilets very clean.<br>Motorbike museum is very very interesting a must visit.<br>Alot of play areas for the children. Fire engine, train and even a splash pool area.<br>Great.

Best place to be especially for families with children.<br>There are so many activities at the zoo that the kids will absolutely love.<br>There is a soft play are too, in case the weather conditions are bad.<br>There is a pool too that is opened on summer time.

Fabulous day out and plenty to keep the children amused. The zoo keepers are friendly and very knowledgeable. The animal talks are informative and interesting. The food outlets are varied and the portion sizes are large at a very reasonable price. All the staff are friendly and helpful when you get lost !!! The animals are in great condition and have enrichment throughout the day. I would highly recommend Hertfordshire Zoo as a fantastic family day out and we will definitely be back.

A really lovely place to visit. Very clean, great range of animals, friendly staff, nice enclosures too. Easy to get around with a pushchair. Great animal talks and shows throughout the day. A brilliant day out for children and adults. Highly recommended.

I took my 3 years old niece and it’s her fav place now. There is mini pool, indoor soft area, outdoor play area, dinosaur park and of course an awesome zoo. You can’t beat this place for variety to activities. I am now thinking of getting annual pass.

1st time visitor. Booked the Capybara experience which was amazing to feed and give scritches to Manny and Maple<br>Chole the keeper was very informative about the Capybaras. The enclosures were well thought out and was large enough to enjoy a whole day there.<br>Will definitely visit again.
