Great place for kids and families to spend a day out. Lots of animals to see and an amazing dino park. Good facilities as well with cafe serving hot and cold food.

This zoo was amazing! It has 2 distinct areas. One displaying dinosaurs both real and fictional from several different periods. The dinosaurs were animatronic which was exciting and scary at the same time. The other area is a zoo with several animals and talks. The park was well laid out and had very knowledgeable staff. An absolute must visit for kids of all ages!

Came as a chaperone on a school trip. The educational talks were fantastic and the layout of the zoo meant we were able to see everything at a good pace! Wonderful zoo.

The zoo is fantastic. Lots of information lots to do. We travelled a few hours to get here. The only down side is it is a cashless venue and nowhere I can find on the website tells you that. Not until you arrive at the ticket booth. Luckily I did bring a bank card as I quite often don’t. As my children would have been devastated not being able to go in. The website says all major forms of payment excepted and there is nothing in the facts of needing to know. Very disappointing as we couldn’t really eat or do much once entering the zoo as most things apart from the animals you have to pay for and card only. (apart from the aquablaster which excepts cash)

Best zoo I've ever been to and I've already asked to go again! The animals are SO well kept, especially the jaguar, Kumal (can't speak on behalf of Kedera as she wasn't in sight). I think my grandma noticed one of the capybaras were lame? But she also believes my perfectly sound pony is lame sometimes. We went to the gibbon and jaguar talk, and the world of birds display which were all amazing ! The keepers were super helpful as well. I would like to work in zoos or conservation once I'm out of school, so I asked the keeper talking at the bird display what qualifications she had to work at Hertfordshire. She was incredibly helpful ! I also asked the zookeeper doing the jaguar talk WAY too many questions and she was really educational. I felt so sorry for her by the end of it! We were there the entire day and still barely did everything, but I think it was probably because I just stayed with the jaguars for most of it. We weren't able to see all the animals but I'm completely unbothered by that as animals also deserve their own space and time. Animal welfare should always be put first ! in short, it was a great day ! But maybe have a check on the capybaras. Thank you for such a great day

We went for a school trip with 3 classes. The zoo is brilliantly arranged for visitors. So many animals/creatures to see - some in open enclosures, some obviously in tanks/behind glass. Plenty of viewing places/opportunities. Ample toilet facilities. It was a wonderful day out for everyone :)

A fantastic place well worth supporting, great for the whole family. They do great work to support endangered species world wide.

Took our son on a Monday and had a really good time. Not too busy and food was reasonably priced and nice. Few places closed because it was during term time. Only downfall was the parking. Not enough space between rows of cars so we almost got trapped.

It's the first time I have been here and pleased to say it was a great experience. Whilst there were alot of families with their children, the atmosphere was really calm. I would suggest attending during the summer. I liked the fact that they had lots of toilets facilities and they were regularly cleaned. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

It's a really nice sized zoo: big enough to have some interesting animals, but not so large you feel like you've had to miss out on stuff to get around it. The dinosaur world is fantastic if you have a Dino mad child.

Had a lovely family day. The animals look well looked after and in good size enclosures. Shop is rather expensive (esp. Sweets at £5!). Hiring mobility scooters was really helpful.

Visited the zoo yesterday with my mother and some friends. Unfortunately my mother had a nasty fall when we arrived. We were upset as she is elderly and hurt her wrist badly. Luckily a very lovely manager and first aider came to our aid and dressed her wrist very efficently and with care. Thank you so much Val, you were great and an asset to the zoo. My mother happily had not broken her wrist, just has a bad sprain. We did manage to enjoy our visit as we love this zoo and hope to be back again soon.

A perfectly sized zoo to get around comfortably in one day. There are plenty of feedings and talks so you can guarantee you will see most of the animals. There are also a few temperate indoor enclosures which are helpful on cold days. And if you choose to bring your own food, there is no shortage of picnic tables.

The talks were informative just make sure you check the times and arrive within good time to get a good view.
The staff are friendly and helpful.

With a dinasour obsessed 2 year old. This place is an absolute winner. We upgraded to the year pass as was loved so much.

It's a shame they now charge for the train which most other places include within their memberships, that would be my only criticism.
