We went last week as we had adopted the wolves for my son for his 10th birthday last year. He was so disappointed to see the small muddy enclosure they were in - pacing in circles, ears down and generally not looking at ease. Appreciate that they are reclusive animals but we could barely see them, and they were surrounded by a constant cacophony of noise from the dinosaur park. My son's comment that they care more about their fake animals who had far more space than the real ones really struck a chord as dinosaurs are clearly a focus and a money spinner there. All of the other animals however were in a separate part of the zoo where money had clearly been spent upgrading their enclosures. I can only hope the wolves will either be rehomed or be part of the improvement programme as the current state of their enclosure was pretty dire…
Have to say the rest of it was good however and the food was lovely so not all bad! Hoping the wolves get a better deal soon….

Great place to waste a few hours. Not even going to list everything, basically a Zoo done right.
Even food wasn't overpriced if you can believe that.

There are lots of things to see and do - from visiting animatronic dinosaurs to seeing real animals and birds. Perhaps more to the point, the young children who accompanied our group really enjoyed their time there. It's worth a return visit.

We had such a lovely day! We'd not visited the zoo in years, when it was known as Paradise Wildlife Park. Since our last visit it's rebranded as Hertfordshire Zoo, and has clearly had lots of money spent on it to add the World of Dinosaurs area, as well as improving enclosures for the animals.
For us, the highlight of the day was the tortoise talk led by the amazing keeper Marianne. At the end of the talk, children are given the chance to enter the enclosure and meet the tortoise Marian on a one to one basis, by answering a question correctly. We were lucky enough to win this opportunity, and will never forget this special, unexpected experience.
The zoo is lovely to walk around, there are plenty of places to get food and drink, and a large adventure playground.
Most definitely worth a visit!

This Zoo is amazing. Probably the best one we have ever visited. Loads of space and really well laid out. The Dinosaur section is amazing with some of the best animatronic models of any other attraction we have been to. The food is well priced and the entertainers are brilliant. Got to meet “Blue” the Velociraptor which was a bonus. Plenty of parking too. Definitely one to visit. Buy tickets online saves you 10% and they accept Blue Peter cards too.

Took the children up to see Hertfordshire Zoo (the one from One Zoo Three!) and we had a wonderful time. We met Cameron and Aaron too!

The animals were great, the staff were super friendly and it just felt like a really nice place to work and be a part of. We saw a few talks and also the bird display (excellent).

The dinosaur park there was also AMAZING. Well worth doing. Use the timings on the leaflet you get on the way in to plan your day and you'll have a great time.

So yeah, we're absolutely going to be coming back again soon:)

J'enlève deux étoiles pour le côté Dino qui pour moi n'a rien à faire dans un zoo surtout avec un bruit épouvantable
Sinon tout le reste était parfait

Had a lovely day here, was very clean, they have just been doing up the Zoo and looks really nice.

Took two of us around 2 hours 30 to walk around everything and watch abit of the bird show (due to the rain they couldn't show all the birds as some do not fly in the rain like owls)

Was really short walks between all of the areas.

Was a great day out.

Really impressed with the new updated zoo. Took our 2 children both who have additional needs. Upon arrival we was greeted by Ann who was so helpful and welcoming. She also informed us of the sensory bag you can get. It is a £30 refundable deposit which is given when you take the bag back at the end of your visit. Inside is fidget toys, ear defenders, emotional regulation cards and an information card. There are also ‘sensory signs’ located around which indicates where ear defenders maybe needed. Ann also informed us of a quiet room being available if needed. Overall we were so impressed with the zoo and how helpful with adaptions they were. We will definitely be returning.

Our first visit to Hertfordshire Zoo was excellent. It is clear to see that a lot of investment has gone into the overall experience, and it was a very enjoyable day for all of the family.

The dinosaur experience is very good. It's very interactive for young children with dinosaurs moving and interacting, albeit perhaps a little scary for some of the little ones! The Rex express train is worth the extra £2 fare with plenty of other dinosaurs not accessible on the main trail.

The food court area had lots of seating for picnics, a large play area nearby, and regular shows/ stage entertainment for things like dinosaur meet and greet! The food available looked like the usual chips/chicken/burgers, but we enjoyed our own picnics.

The zoo area was also very good. We had some great close-up encounters with the lions, monkeys, and the gorgeous red panda! There is also a crazy golf course at the end of the zoo circuit, which the kids weren't leaving without doing!

The only fault I would have is toilet and changing facilities. I don't think there is enough for the size of the site and potential crowds in peak times. A dedicated changing facility is needed, as many of the disabled toilets were locked and / or main toilets out of service.

It was a lovely day out, however, and we will definitely be back!

Our second visit was just as enjoyable as the first. I think the name change is a mistake, Wildlife Park is a much better description of this place.

My family and I have been visiting this zoo for the last few years, we absolutely love it.

We noticed during our last visit that some areas were 'under construction'. It was great to finally enjoy these new areas and have amazing views of the jaguars and snow leopards which we hadn't seen before.

The special quality about this zoo is the viewing areas they have created for visitors. They have put a lot of thought into creating an all angle viewing experience e.g. the tiger habitat has viewing areas up high, at ground, from the restaurant.

There are places to eat on site. We stopped for some tasty toasties at one of the cafés whilst enjoying a view of the sun bear in its habitat.

It's difficult to put into words how great this place is. You have to go and see for yourself!
