Wonderful day out with the kids.
Very friendly and helpful staff all around.
Easy to navigate through the parks.
Everything is clearly labelled.

Food is reasonably priced and there is good selection that caters for vegan diets too.

I particularly loved the fact that they have a cute little multi-faith room where I could go and pray.
It is kept locked and you have to ask someone to open it for you. They are very helpful and quick to help. They even have prayer mats in there for you to use if u need .

A truly magical zoo that has changed dramatically over the years that it has been open. The new bear and jaguar exhibit is amazing and should definitely be visited as well as the gibbon and tiger enclosure. You can listen to some of the brilliant talks and watch the animals fed as well.

This is a great park that offers two experiences in the same place. The zoo part is great and larger than I expected with a wide range of animals to see.

Can spend whole day here with lots of variety in what you want to do. Bring your own food and drink, picnicking tables everywhere, spoilt for choice. Bring kids bathing suite, change of clothes and towel as outdoor splash pool onsite. Buy tickets online for a slight saving. People under 2 yo go free.

We've had a fantastic visit with children aged 2 to 14. The zoo is informative, inclusive and beautifully decorated. We ate in Bamboo Kitchen and were served by Luca who was doing a fantastic job! Food and drinks were excellent and well priced. Luca's customer service was outstanding.

Nice place, however some of the staff were rude and disrespectful, condescending in a way. And some animals that we went to see did not really show up.

A great day out for all ages! It was great to see the animals from multiple viewing platforms which you don't get at other zoos we have visited. The playgrounds were brilliant for a range of ages, including different activities such as slides, swings, and an adventure course. The beach was also welcome on a hot day.
I was a bit disappointed with a lack of toilets around, and the extra cost for the train ride (which seems short and unexciting - not showing anything new in the zoo). The zoo shop seemed to be very expensive, with other zoos having a wider range of merchandise for a wider range of cost.
The website is poor and does not tell you that there is a discount for buying tickets in advance, so make sure you do!
Overall, as it's not our local zoo, we probably wouldn't return here within the year but we'll be back one day for sure.

I went to Hertfordshire Zoo with my parents and daughter. Let's get the disappointing part out of the way first. My daughter enjoyed the train ride by the dinosaur section but myself and my parents thought it was a bit disappointing that some of the features were not working properly for example it looked like there should have been 3 dinosaurs that spat water at you but it appeared as though only 1 was working, and we think that £2 is a lot to pay when not all the features are working and when the ride is fairly short to.

Now thats out of the way, the rest of the day was fantastic, we managed to see most of the animals that we wanted to see and my daughter and I had come for a MeerKat Experience. The lady in the reception area of the Zoo HQ was very friendly and made us all feel welcome, especially my parents who stayed in the Zoo Hq whilst they waited for us to come back from our experience. Lily one of your lovely zookeepers took us to meet your MeerKats, Lily was very welcoming and answered any questions that we had about the MeerKats during our experience. My daughter and I absolutely loved the MeerKat experience and will certainly be saving up for future experiences with some of the other animals as we definitely thought it was worth the money spent.

Later after our experience we were by the Tortoise enclosure where we bumped into another lovely Zookeeper called Simon. He was very passionate about the tortoises and had all the time in the world to talk to us about them.

The food we had there (Skin on chips) was lovely to and all in all it was a great day out for all the family.

What a great place to visit. Went with my partner and loved everything about it. Well worth the money for a great day out. We took a picnic but actually could have just bought food there.

It is great zoo but car park felt like it is a 10minute walk away from the zoo unless if you disabled but it is one the best zoos I have visited as animals are well maintained.

Every detail of this beautiful zoo shows the love, care and attention from it being a family run zoo. We loved all the talks, displays, and excellent viewing platforms. The dinosaur walk was the best we have done aswell. Wonderful day out.

I normally find Zoo trips are mired by the odd failure services, like bad toilets or badly maintained facilities, however Hertfordshire Zio had really well presented enclosures, an amazing dinosaur area, play parks, quality resteraunts and friendly staff. Everyone we spoke to seems very happy and proud of their work, from the ladies in the donut stand all the way through to the people giving talks, putting on shows for the children and even toilet and facility staff. I was really impressed with the whole site and the enclosures for the animals were well laid out, the animals didn't seem agitated or unhappy with their surroundings and the keepers genuinely cared for them. Of all the Zoo's I've been to, I think this has to be my new favourite.

One of the best presented and looked after zoos we have visited - and the Dino park made it for my 5 year old. Again, the dinos, in quality & animation are some of the best I have seen in Europe. Impressed by the raised walkways through multiple environments which make it so much easier to see Bears & Snow Leopards alike. Play areas are excellent and lots of food options too. Highly recommended.

A great zoo with a variety of animals to see in their respective enclosures. Facilities were clean and the prices for food and drinks were reasonable. Free car park for patrons of the zoo. Location is accessible friendly for those with mobility issues. There are play areas at different spots within the zoo for children to enjoy. Staff were friendly and helpful when interacting with them.
