Loved this Zoo so much! We had a wonderful weekend experience with the family and kids - loved big cats and bears! Dinosaurs part of a Zoo is a good adventure with kids. Will come again!

Great day out, February half term. It's cold, so some animals harder to spot, I could not blame them! But still plenty to see and do. Our 4 year old loved the dinosaurs, wow they move and roar! There are lots of play areas, including covered ones, so good choice for this time of year. Several indoor animal exhibitions so very any weather friendly. Easy to walk round with younger children and pushchairs. Out door covered areas to picnic so you can keep cost down by bringing a packed lunch. Very attractively laid out, lots of information about natural habitats and conservation. Viewing areas and low windows made seeing animals very accessible to a younger child. There was even a sandpit to dig in! We will definitely return and recommend it to friends and family.

On Monday 17th February we had the amazing opportunity to take part in the 'Big Cat Experience' where we got to feed a tiger called Siberia! Our zoo keeper Vivienne (sorry if we have not spelt your name correctly) was so lovely and informative, she taught us so much and really made the experience very enjoyable. After feeding Siberia the tiger, we enjoyed exploring the rest of the zoo. It was our first time here ,as our local zoo is Whipsnade, and we were so impressed with Hertfordshire Zoo. Lovely and clean zoo and spacious homes for the animals which was great to see. We will definitely be back in the summer!
Thank you Vivienne and Hertfordshire Zoo for a fantastic and memorable day.

Visited the zoo as a family of 5 adults and one 4 year old. All the adults love big cats and they were amazing. No lions which are my absolute favourite, so a bit disappointed but will visits the big cat sanctuary in the summer. So much to see, however we only spent a few hours there so didn’t cover 1/4 of it. If you go with young children there is even more to do as well as seeing the beautiful animals. Play areas, soft play, sand pits, dinosaur land, picnic areas, paddling pool (summer) and so much more. A fantastic day out and good value for money. Food and hot drinks were all good quality.
I have been visiting frequently over 30 years and seen lots of changes. Make sure you are wearing comfy clothes and shoes and enjoy 😊

We had a wonderful day at the zoo today. We travelled down from Scotland as my 2 children are massive fans of 1 Zoo 3 and thanks to a fabulous member of staff Carol, my children met Aaron and Tyler during our visit. A big thank you to the guys for making time to meet my children and Carol for making it happen. We will definitely be making the trip again as we saw so many amazing animals and had an awesome family day out 😁

Had the most amazing day today. My son was booked into an experience with the meerkats for his birthday. Before that started we spent a lovely time around the zoo, speaking to the staff who are all so friendly and give time to talk. I want to give a special thank you to Paul at the birds who invited my son to volunteer in the talk he gave, it was such a nice thought and made my sons day even more special.
The meerkats experience was brilliant too.
All in all a fab day out!

My daughter is 29 and loves Jurrasic Park and dinosaurs generally. I can honesty say this place delivers. I wasn't expecting much but it was far above exception. The dinosaur Park was amazing and the zoo is really well set up. Everything in the gift shops was reasonably priced so you didn't have to take out a small mortgage to buy anything and the staff were nothing but helpful and lovely. A great day had by all

Fabulous local zoo with a great selection of animals and interactive displays. One of the best animatronic dinosaur parks I've experienced too!

Zoo itself is okay.. decent variety of animals and the dino bit is great. Do not dine here unless you’re ready to do some serious dollar for L food.

£12.50 for a jacket potato (beans subs cheese). I was shocked… still am.

What a find. Definitely worth a visit with young kids. But, also lots for adults and the way in which the enclosures have been designed means that you get to see far more of the animals than in other zoos (e.g. Whipsnade). The whole layout is much better than at Whipsnade and there are almost as many animals in a smaller area, so more bang for your buck as it were. Food choices are limited, but you don't go to the zoo to have a gourmet meal!! Maybe not yet....

A gem of a zoo! Price is reasonable given what you get. Two attractions (zoo and dinosaur world) plus free parking. Really well run with large enclosures for the animals that seem well taken care of. Even in the winter we had lots of fun without too large a crowd. We will come back again soon!

Absolutely loved it! Plenty of different animals to see here, I loved the elevated walkways, allowing you to see into the Tiger, Bear, Snow Leopard and Jaguar.

Food from the on site eatery was delicious and not silly expensive!

Seems to be a few things in the works currently, so will have to return to soo what's new.
