I brought the kids (5 and 8) here and it was a great day out. They loved the dinosaur area so much they wanted to go round a second time later in the day. There are a few play areas that they loved too. There's not a huge number of animals so I think if you're visiting without kids then expect maybe half a day rather than a full day.

Great place for a day out for the kids. Dinosaur walk was great, zoo was nice and easy to walk around. Didn't use the splash park but will do next time. Plus the Rolo donut was incredible!

I've been coming here since I was a tiny child with parents and on school trips. So much has changed in 30 years but I love that there are still some of the original playground equipments, like the Fire Engine Slide and Mother Hubbard's Shoe. Very nostalgic!
Paradise has always been what I would call a 'nicer zoo'. It's a conservation zoo and the animals don't seem miserable like they often do in captivity. Some of the enclosures, eg. the sweet bears, are very impressive.
The recent updates to the park are great. The whole park was accessible by wheelchair. I can't comment on accessible toilets as didn't use them.
There are several eateries and several picnic spots too. Disappointing vegan options and the cafes only serve machine coffee which means oat milk added into black coffee, which curdled. Yuck. There was a vegan ice cream scoop option (vanilla) and I spotted vegan Magnums too.
There's an animatronic dinosaur trail which has more models than anything similar I've seen and is very impressive.
There's also a large paddling pool area with sun loungers and picnic benches, and changing facilities for youngsters in swimwear.
This would make a very full day out for children up to, say, 10 years old. There's indoor soft play for younger children plus a little train that does a loop around the dinosaur area (£2 per ticket, purchase at ride). There's also an outdoor stage with character performances.
I think it's a real shame to rename it 'Hertfordshire Zoo'. It isn't really a 'zoo' as, looking at the map, more than half of it is not animals, it's play areas and other entertainment. PWP is renowned and will lose the familiarity it has for so many, which is sad.

The World of Dinosaurs was fantastic. My children absolutely loved this part and the train ride was a nice touch. The zoo was OK. A lot of the animals were difficult to see or weren't there. Lots of things to do for children. Great day out!

Visited a summer evening event which was absolutely brilliant. All of the usual animal and dinosaur exhibits were available to view but the additional entertainment just made the evening top class. The icing on the cake was the after the show, show. Our 4 yr old grandson absolutely loved it, as did all the other children there...

It was a great day out with the kids. There is a wide range of animals, not the biggest zoo around. I've been to London Zoo, I prefer this zoo.

Dinosaur walk was th kids' favourite. The dinosaurs 🦕 were realistic and left a great impression on the kids.

The facilities are clean and well distributed around the park. We went on a weekend and it is not crowded. If the kids are bored, you can take them to the playgrounds.

The only downside is the food. Wasn't good at all for the price you have to pay.

Will definitely come back.

Got married here on the 10th August 2013 and we decided to visit again for our 10 year wedding anniversary two days ago. We booked the feed the big cats experience, we fed one of the tigers, and it was fantastic! We booked the 9am slot which meant the park wasn't open to other guests during our experience. We then got to go around the park whilst it was still quiet, which was great 😊.
