Great day no matter how young or old

Not a lot of animals but plenty of play areas for the kids. They spent more time playing than looking at animals. Overall a nice family day out.

There is a good variety of animals here and as they were all active and looked in good health. We enjoyed looking at all the big cats and liked the new penguin enclosure. I liked that the zoo is quite compact and easy to find your way around so it's not too much walking for children. It didn't feel too busy so you had time to look at the animals and didn't feel rushed to move on. There's plenty of picnic areas and a covered area if it's raining. I can't comment on the food as we brought a picnic but the ice creams were very overpriced. There is a big play area but you do have to pay extra for some things to play or go on like the go karts. Good value for money compared to some other zoos in the area. We spent about 3 hours here and saw everything.

Had the opportunity to visit this wildlife park for a family birthday outing with two young kids aged 4 and 2 years.

PLUS POINTS; loved the layout of the place, the park size is just enough for the little ones to cover, there are plenty of play areas, including a nice paddling area. The cafe (Sam's Diner) had a good selection of food - orders delivered quickly too.

WHAT LETS IT DOWN; is the additional charges for everything on top of the entry tickets (£17 adults, £13 kids). A £1 here and there soon adds up! What disgusted me is even the little train around the forest park charged each person £1, and then face painting, balloon modelling, every small ride dotted here and there, fairground type water games, the formula one racing track and the list goes on and on....

I would rather pay a price on entry and then only get my cash out for food or pay as you go along. If the price is for the wildlife...then most are hidden or look sedated. There are other places out there that provide much more value for money.

Visited Paradise for a Feed a Big Cat experience. Arrived early so we could have a look at all the animals, it's a fairly small park but has a massive play area to keep children entertained. We had our cameras and got loads of animal shots, worked our way around the park spending a lot of time with the Big Cats. Went to the Diner for lunch and although the food was lovely the gluten free option had us waiting 45 minutes rather than the suggested 20 which meant some food had to be left so we could make the experience on time. Our keeper Steve was awesome, funny, knowledgeable and passionate about his cats. We chose to feed Baikal the white tiger as we had enjoyed watching him play earlier and I believe feeding him was one of the highlights of my life. I was never scared for my safety as I had full confidence in Steve but it was an amazing experience. We had an hour with Our keeper and learnt a lot.

I would happily recommend a visit to the park to anyone and if you have the money the experiences are amazing. On our way out we saw a couple feeding the meerkats and they where all over them, head, neck, in jackets etc. Looked like a lot of fun too.

In addition to the animals they have a large picnic area, a splash pool for when it's hot and as mentioned score a large play area and woodland walk.

Haven't been here for approx 5 years, a lot has changed (for the better) and I am very impressed with what they have done. The enclosures are great, thought some a bit small, and there is a large selection of animals and things to do for the children. The park is clean and well kept. The only down side is the main restaurant, £53 for 3 x cheese burgers (cheese cost extra) 1 x adults chicken and chips and 1 x child's chicken and chips all with a coke, can't see how they can justify charging this!

There are a lot of different activities at "Paradise", most of which as an animal lover I was not interested in but would be appealing for families with pre teen children. The animal section was really good, there is clearly a great deal of investment continuing to upgrade the facilities, I loved the "Cat Walk" a walkway past all the various Big Cat Exhibits and if you need a refreshment visit the Tree Tops Cafe which has a wonderful view of the Tiger compound with the roar of the lions in the background.

My daughter and I had a Big Cat Keeper experience for our shared special birthdays. It was a brilliant day. The keeper Steve was amazing with so much knowledge and enthusiasm. The animals were all awesome and all came over to see us and enjoy a titbit or two! Even Rocky the tiger who is 19 years old got up from his nap in the sun so we could see this magnificent creature up close, Such an amazing experience which we will never forget. Thank you Paradise.

Paradise wildlife park is a wonderfal place,which both me and my family loved so much. All the kids loved to explore and see the wild animals. Its a great place to take pictures of nature aswell.

Visited on Monday, nice and quiet - I always think if you don't have kids it's a great idea to book a day off work to visit somewhere like this so it's not as busy and you can get more out of the things that kids aren't generally bothered about, eg the talks. We live 2-2.5 hours away, and arrived at 12-ish but I wish we'd got there sooner as we didn't fit everything in. There was plenty of space in the main car park (free), and facilities were all clean and well-maintained, staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the experience organised - we just signed in at reception, were given information about where to meet and when, and off we went.

Most importantly I felt the animals themselves seemed to be well-looked after, although some weren't visible - there are some crepuscular/nocturnal creatures, it wasn't warm all day, and I guess there were some shy ones! I was ok with this, as I wouldn't have wanted these animals to be forced to behave against their nature.

Tour was excellent, our guide was really enthusiastic and gave a lot of information about all the big cats we saw, and we were especially impressed with the wide aerial walkways around the pens which allowed us to see the cats while they were snoozing in the sun.

In the interests of being clear, the food provided as part of the experience was good (especially the mini cakes) but was buffet style rather than a traditional afternoon tea service. Also, the dates for this experience aren't posted on the website - it doesn't specify, but you have to call them for dates, so don't wait around!

One really great thing about the park is that there are feeds and talks going on all day with different animals - in other places you might only get a few through the day. I would recommend staying for the big cat feed at 5pm, if it's the same person as we had you'll hear some absolutely cracking stories!

Yes prices possibly a touch expensive but our nearest zoo is Twycross and realistically theirs are similar.

This was our first visit to Paradise Wildlife Park, and we were quite impressed. The park was clean and tidy, and luckily not too crowded. All the animals looked in good condition and there was quite a bit of rehousing going on.
The were quite a few food outlets, and plenty of place to sit and picnic.
The site wasn't too big, nor too small. Just about ideal for a day visit.

Very clean plus upper walks

I don't know where to start I have been here a couple of times now, and we live over two and half hours away so that says enough. I fed tigers this time and it was the single best thing I have ever done. The zoo is fabulous even my husband who isn't an animal lover loved it. The staff are very knowledgeable and very caring about their animals. I would recommend any who loved animals to go here even if you are not doing an experience, we are coming back again with my son when he's old enough to do the same day. Paradise wildlife park we love you and love what you do for your animals. Thank you.

This is a lovely family day out. With 4 adults, a 5 year old and two under 2's it wasn't an expensive day. 63£ if prebook ed. It's a nice size park, not too big or small. It doesn't have all the animals one might want to see ie giraffes, elephants but a good selection. We had a good 4 hours in the park and finished off with play time in the playground and they have a mini race track, ride along track and a sand pit for kids to play in. Nice picnic area, food facilities if you don't bring a picnic and even a paddle area for when it's a hot day!

Beautiful big cat enclosure and walkway. 2 year old had a good day. Definitely want to go back. Shame we live so far away.

Had a lovely day. We all enjoyed it very much. Lots of animals to see up close. Lots to do and places to eat. Kids loved all the play areas too. As you'd expect the food and ice creams were expensive but that didn't spoil the day. Would highly recommend a visit.

Wide range of animals. Lots of places to sit down and picnic. Well signposted. Fun family day out.

We visited over the Easter holidays with my two Daughters (ago 1 and 10) and my Father who is in his 70s. He doesn't often come out with us to places like this as he struggles with walking long distances but PWP was perfect for him as it's so compact.

We spent the entire day there and my Daughter had great fun completing the Easter Egg hunt. The animals all seemed really well looked after and the keepers were all friendly, approachable and not mention extremely knowledgeable and passionate.

We also spent some time in the (massive) playground section which was really well maintained and had loads of different types of equipment to suit all ages.

I actual can't think of a day out that I've done in recent years that I've enjoyed as much as this one and we will definitely be back for more soon!!

For a local zoo there was a good range of animals, all seemingly well-kept. Visibility was excellent, as visitors can get much closer to them than at the big national zoos. Plenty of staff were around,although not all were friendly. There were lots of clean toilets everywhere, which is a real boon if you're with children. And we particularly appreciated not being forced through a gift shop on the way out!

On the down side, the food at the canteen was dreadful, and lunch is an important part of a day out. Tasteless cheese, cardboard fish, limp salad, bruised fruit. It isn't as if it is cheap. Such a shame that a superb outing was badly let down by the catering. The management must improve this facility.

Small clean compact zoo easy to walk round nothing to far away either a great if you like meerkat as they have 3 if not 4 pens of them. Having last been 5 years ago and been impressed this time it had a very sad feeling so many empty cages or just one lonely animal looking board in a cage lots of work being done and areas closed off not great for a bank holiday. Most of staff look uninterested. Farmyard area almost empty last visit it was thriving. Food expensive and awful. Gift shop head so little PWP stock more of a brickabrack store and why sell giraffe and rhinos pictures toys you don't have any to see. Overall it's okay lots for little ones to do but bring your wallet it'll cost you all day long.

There were a couple of recent mixed reviews on here when we were looking to go, so we thought twice. But glad we did. Having visited on a busy Bank Holiday Monday, the park was clean and well maintained. We didn't queue very long for anything at all and had a good family day out. They have a reasonable array of animals to look at, and lots of playground equipment for the younger (and even the slightly older kids). There are a couple of things that do require extra payment of £1 per go, but generally these can be avoided - there is enough to do without that - although if you have a younger child the allure of the miniature train (£1 per ride) might prove irresistible.

All in all, worth a visit. Certainly you can spend a couple of hours here.

TIP: make sure that you book online as you'll save 10% at least on the admission prices.

Excellent place for family zoo visit. Very caring staff. Best to bring your own food. Lots of picnic tables.
