My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our day out, despite the bad weather. The park was easy to get around and the variety of animals was amazing. We would love to go again and plan to in the future. Would be an amazing day for families, especially with children, as there is also a funfair section and many interactive sections.

I visited with my husband and daughter (18m) we all thoroughly enjoyed our day.
The park is easy to navigate and there was plenty of room for our daughter to wander around safely.
The animals seemed really well looked after and clean, the viewing areas were well thought out and gave was access to see the animals.
The food wasn’t great but not the worst I’ve had. Next time we’ll probably take a picnic as there were nice areas to be able to dine.

This Wildlife Park exceeded my expectations. We had a lovely day out! It is very much geared towards families with young children. So, if you have older children, you may be more suited to a much larger facility like Colchester Zoo. Paradise WP has many safe areas for young children to run about. There are plant of picnic areas so it would make a perfect day out in the warmer weather. As well as animals there are plenty of playgrounds and play areas. It is also very interactive so make sure the little ones have animal feed for the lovely farmyard creatures. There is a good cafe, with an indoor play area, and plenty of places to get drinks and snacks. I would highly recommend taking a picnic and letting the children amuse themselves. Wonderful place!

Been here a few times. Great day out for the kids plenty to do. Plenty of animals and they all look happy and healthy. Food restaraunts on site although plenty of tables to sit at and have packed lunch. Our grand daughter loves it and after we have seen all the animals we go in to the indoor play area which she loves. I would recommend and think it’s pretty good value for money.

Best time we have ever had at a zoo. This encounter was the greatest experience me and my boyfriend will never forget and this goes with the great help from Pia and Lynn the absolute experts who truly care for this beautiful animals. We went for my boyfriends 21st birthday and he is saying how this has been not only the best weekend but the best birthday he has ever had. I couldn’t do it without this lovely zoo. We will definitely be back in no time! Pia and Lynn was so helpful and lovely, they are a absolute credit to this place! What a beautiful zoo, we cannot thank you enough for the amazing time we have had!

Having been to a few zoos this one has by far been the best. Although we went as a couple, it looked brilliant for kids! So many activities for them to do. The grounds are easily accessible and you get a map included on arrival which clearly shows how to get around the park. All of the animals have plaques with info on. It’s not a huge place compared to some other zoos, but that is not a criticism, the layout has been done very well as some places I’ve been, after an hour or so of walking around you tend to get ‘lost’. You can buy a bag of food for a £1 to feed the goats and sheep etc. We wouldn’t be far from seeing a keeper cleaning the animals dens or feeding them which was nice to see. The animals were all out and visible, and their living conditions all looked good and well kept. The animals all looked in good condition also. There are upstairs walkways which give you a brilliant view for the animals. Also little ‘dens’ you can crawl into to get closer which was fun. I was nicely surprised at how close you could get to the animals. I will definitely be coming back!!!!! It was a bit cold so we didn’t try the mini-golf but thats something to try next time. Only niggle would be the food hall - food was very pricey for what we actually got BUT they do let you bring picnics/pack-ups with you so I can’t really fault that. It was a Friday lunchtime we went and only a handful of visitors were there, felt like we had the whole place to ourselves! As I’m not usually one to leave reviews, I really felt as though this place deserved it. Thank you for a great day. I’ve added a few pics but I was too excited and didn’t manage to take more! Haha

Took someone along as a pick me up treat to take part in big cat experience & they thoroughly enjoyed themselves . The zoo itself isn’t massive , but then I think it’s early season with repair work and alterations for the new season . The keepers were really friendly as was the lady in the welcome centre . Got a briefing before meeting the big cat we were feeding , the white tiger . Then had a tour of feeding areas for all the other animals . Finally taken round With a tub of meat to do the actual feeding . It’s not until your up close to 30 stone cat who’s diet could happily inc you that you realise just how magnificent they really are . Lovely experience , great afternoon out . If you prefer a quieter day make sure you go before summer kicks in as I believe this place really gets busy . Right now with a little brisk sun , it’s a peaceful educational and satisfying place to spend an afternoon. They do an excellent job of caring for these animals . They also work with a breeding programmes to one day re introduce a lot of endangered species back to the wild , if of course man hasn’t built on every inch of it .

The place is lovey to visit, although I did feel a bit cheated last time we went, as some of the attractions were closed due to building work (looked a bit like a builders yard). I wouldn’t have minded so much had I been told at the entry gate before purchasing my family’s tickets.

at the front part of the park there is a wonderful childrens playground as you go around the park not only do you notice how clean and tidy it is but also how well the animals are housed and the condition of the animals themselves is amazing during various times of the day there are talks about the animals from keepers who really know there stuff.
there is also a cafe that overlooks the tigers and you feel that you are almost in touching distance.
there is also for a charge the chance to feed a tiger or wolves they provide the meat so its not a chance to get rid of the mother -in -law
work has also started on a planned dinosaur park that will include mechanical moving dinosaurs.
the only down side is that like most attractions it is quite pricey to eat there and i found the hot meals not that great but when youre hungry thats the last of your problems on the other hand there is a covered picnic area if you want to take your own food just get your hand stamped then you can go back to the car and collect food when you are ready save carrying it around with you

Before travelling to this venue it's worth checking on line about the offers and events this popular attraction has up and coming. We saved money by booking tickets on line, a good tip as for our family, it saved around nine pounds in admission fees.
On the occasion of our visit, speedway, an motorcycling sport, was celebrating it's 90th anniversary at the park and so there were exhibitions of bikes and other memorabilia to supplement the museum supporting this sport permanently based there.
Elsewhere, apart from the animals, there were plenty of "play areas" with apparatus, fire engines and trains to climb over. Slides[undercover], live shows and quite woodland walk to calm them down.

We have just returned from PARADISE WILDLIFE PARK where we had a most enjoyable visit with our 5yr old grandson. We were able to get very close to some of the animals eg Zebra, Meercats, Camels. We also had a fantastic view of the Tigers strolling around beneath us, whilst we are a simple lunch in the cafe.
It was perfect for my grandson because there were tunnels underneath some exhibits so he could clearly see the Meerkats and a Anaconda. We also saw the free show featuring small animals and birds, which was aimed at children but most informative.
We will happily return with his younger sister.

We had a brilliant time a PWP yesterday. It was quiet as it was a Monday afternoon but all the animals were easy to see and active. Lions were roaring, monkeys were swinging and even the sloth popped his head up!
I had booked an animal experience for my boyfriend's birthday after seeing how the good the reviews were. I decided to book the 'tickle the tapir' experience so we could learn more about Tapirs and get to stroke them rather than just feed them like most other animal experiences. It was really great. We went to the discovery centre and had tea and biscuits which was very welcome on a cold day and we were met by Amelia who took us to the paddock. She gave us a safety briefing and told us where to stand and what to do and then we were taken into the pen with Tim the Tapir. As soon as we started stroking him he rolled right over so we could give him a tickle. The experience lasted half an hour and Amelia told us loads about Tapir. I ended up asking lots of questions and she answered every one, it was brilliant. We had a great time and it was something a bit different to do. Tapirs are amazing!

We visited the park with our 2.5 year old son.
There was a lot of places in construction and being maintained/closed off and a lot of bits to walk through with not much to look at.
When we went in to the museum with the motorbikes, there was some staff moving a couple of bits, me and my partner was taking a selfie and got told not to take a photo. We then got told to supervise our child who was just standing there eating some crisps and not touching anything right next to us with me watchkng him the whole time, we felt very unwelcome and thought it was rude how we was addressed.
We did enjoy looking at the animals we did get to see but don't think we would come again for a while.

Excellent tiger tea experience:)
Our visit was made brilliant by the keepers, the wolf lady who gave us a talk, the lady who opened the conservation cabin especially for us and the lady who gave the tiger talk.
Great way of finding about the animals habitat and habits...with a very clear focus on education and conservation.

Signage within the park is dire. Owners, please ask a new visitor if you can tag along and see the park through their eyes...one of the first things that you will notice is that things are directed as behind the welcome centre...but the welcome centre is not labelled the welcome centre...

When you pay you go through a gate and there's a jungle play place for children which sells coffee. After your drive you'll probably be needing coffee/tea.....put the thought aside. In this cafe the coffee is £2.90 - everywhere else on the site we found it to be £1.90.
We could see no reason for the difference...cardboard cup with milk sugar etc on serve yourself basis and lids available if you wanted them.
Food throughout the site relatively expensive.
Souvenirs......
Anything plastic...and not a postcard to be found in the main souvenir centre.
Better quality gifts in the conservation cabin (it's not an educational building its a fundraising cabin)
Books for children in main shop....limited books overall ... It would be lovely to see such books as George Monbiot books given space so that the message of conservation can be followed up.

The treetop walkway above the cats were a great touch allowing visibility from multiple angles. Being a cold day it wasnt too busy which allowed for easy viewing. Windows clean so again promotes good viewing. Some work taking place on the woodland walk, be interesting to see that completed. Ate a light lunch in the treetop cafe overlooking the tigers which was unique touch. Overall had an enjoyable day.

Nice place to visit with small children as it is not that big. There is a lot of paces that you can have a picnic also a under cover bit too if the weather isn't great. Few places for the children to play too. We used Tesco club card points to get in.

Loved it! Awesome to meet & scratch the Tapir. Nice staff, nice zoo. Was cold & wet = lovely and quiet people wise & saw all the animals, so don't be put off by bad weather! Some of the animals were out & about as it started to get dark. The meerkat using the heat lamp as a hammock was entertaining. Thankyou for a lovely day.

I honestly think this is one of my favourite zoo and I've been to soooo many. It's quite small but ticket prices are very reasonable and you can get suuuuper close to some awesome animals.

Yesterday I had a lovely surprise for my birthday to paradise wildlife park a family run business with happy staff.
I was extremely lucky that we had an experience , and I fed my favourite the zebras and we played and cuddled with the meerkats . Conner our guide was amazing and answered so many questions Spud threw at him.
We had lunch a lovely jacket potato and had the afternoon to enjoy the rest of the park in the snow.
Easter looks exciting they have a new dinosaur exitbition from China !!!
I was extremely lucky that we had an experience , and I fed my favourite the zebras and we played and cuddled with the meerkats . Conner our guide was amazing and answered so many questions Spud threw at him.
We had lunch a lovely jacket potato and had the afternoon to enjoy the rest of the park in the snow.

Today we visited the park as a day out for our Granddaughter, I didn't expect much from the park as the time of the year dictates how the animals are located
On that subject I have no problems
The main restaurant however !!
I do not like being ripped off,we ordered a steak gourmet burger with bacon and cheese £9.10 each, they are appalling !!
Cheap poor quality microwave burgers,how anyone can call them a gourmet burger is beyond me!!
When I saw it,I told the young man serving that I wanted to swap it for a jacket potato with tuna,he wasn't happy but did it
He then said I couldn't have a refund as a jacket potato meal is over £2 less
I just told him do you really want me to make a scene
Got my refund though
So my advice is eat before you visit or after

£3 for a paradise cake that says hand made but looks like it had come from Brookers or Costco
4 coffees 4 cakes £24 !!!!!!!

Lovely place to walk around. Helpful staff on talks and walks. All animals was well looked after and very clean. Great food, overall very nice experience . Will be returning .

All the animals seem to be well looked after and in clean and pleasant surroundings. The overhead walk ways were really helpful to see the big cats. I have been on safari in Africa and not got as close as you can get to some of the animals at this park. I thoroughly recommend a visit.

A lovely day out with the kids, lots to do and plenty of play areas and animals. Very spacious and clean. Book online tickets cheaper and parking is easy and free. Places to eat but wish we brought a packed lunch. Love the short little train .. gives us a little rest.
