We visited here yesterday as a couple and my wife thoroughly enjoyed the Zoo side.

The place is pretty clean and certainly in not shabby state so it is not like London Zoo or worse anything run by the Merlin Entertainment mob!

Animals great, toilets not so great as old portacabins are pretty grim and very dated - and rotten.

Food was ok and reasonably priced and poor Callum in one venue clearly over worked but not as under worked as the rumble jumble or something place where staffing fell flat. One girl served whilst her dead behind the eyes side kick stood and watched everyone queue.....

Dinosaurs are well presented and crazy golf is fun so all in all not a bad day out!

We visited here today, with 3 kids under 6. We had a lovely day. The dinosaur attraction was impressive. We managed to see all of the big cats very close up, within a couple of metres which was amazing. There are lots of play areas and attractions to keep the children entertained including a paddling pool area. We would recommend this place for a great day out. Reasonable entry price too.

This was our second visit to Paradise Wildlife Park, our first was 5 years ago. Since our last visit there is now a dinosaur attraction, which having no children with us we thought would not be to our taste. We were wrong however, this attraction is so well thought out and so professionally done it could easily match a Universal tour in the USA. Sadly the rest of the park seems to have become a children's play ground with much fewer animals than we remembered and rather cramped conditions for them. We must point out however that the animals we did see seemed to be in fantastic condition.

Went to Paradise wildlife park with the three grandchildren for my granddaughter’s third Birthday. The other 2 grandchildren are ages 6 and 8. Something for everyone to do. Quite expensive entry fees, but having said that so much for them to do and see. Spent over 4 hours here and still more we didn’t get chance to do.
We visited the animals tigers, lions, meerkats, monkeys snow leopards ,Jaguars, cheetah, camels, zebras, penguins, wolves, farmyard animals, and reptiles. Which all are well kept.
The new world of Dinosaurs which are impressive and very life like. The new sand play area kept them busy for a while . Then we went on to the soft play. This kept them all entertained for some time. They really enjoyed themselves.
So we will be back to see and do what we ran out of time on this visit to do. The children loved this day out.

Great day out, the park is very well looked after with various talks and feeds through the day.
A good place for all ages, loads of wild animals to see, especially the rare big cats.

Im really surprised that this place isn’t more well known. I spent 4 hours here with a 4 and 6 year old, and they loved it.

I initially thought it was quite pricey - almost £60 for three of us - but it’s really good value. The dinosaur park has huge animatronic beasts in it which were really quite impressive. The wildlife park has tigers, zebra, tapirs, wolves, snakes, bats, lemurs, penguins, camels, alpacas, with lots of overhead bridges and tunnels to go through. In between were rides, slides, activities and places to eat, and there was a mini stage for short live acts.

If they hadnt been so worn out we could easily have spent another hour or more here. Although busy the only place where that was a problem was one of the food outlets. We took our own food so I can’t speak for quality or price, but the park was a bbq, restaurant, pizza van, and a bar.

My only criticism was that the miniature railway came at an extra cost. It wasn’t much but seemed unnecessary.

Highly recommend it, I’d go again

Had a fab day out with our two little boys. We all really enjoyed it. Free parking is a bonus. Not too big so got to see all of it. Amazing animals that look well looked after..plenty of food outlets and toilets..indoor and outdoor playareas for the kids and even a paddling pool area for hot days. Highlight of the day was the dinosaur park. My son is dino obsessed and he was in his element! Really well done paradise! Only downside is that the coffee is not good! Plenty of picnic areas also to accommodate packed lunches (which we did)

We visited yesterday on the first sunny day and had a wonderful few hours out. The enclosures for the animals were very good well set out and maintained. We had been to the park around 3-4 years ago and going back yesterday we saw lots of changes so it was lovely to see the upgrades and how the money has been put back into the park. Lots of variety of animals to suit all so great for the whole family. When we arrived 3 car parks were full and yet there was still plenty of room to move about and see the animals and take pictures which was nice.

The food was a let down, there was plenty of choice but the ques were massive and everybody in them was complaining at how slow the staff were with food it took us around 45mins just to get 2burgers and one bottle of water!!! The main restaurant was a no go with how massive the que was it would have been at leaat an hour to be served so that defo needs to change.

We also played crazy golf at the park which was fun but the course could do with some maintaining as lots of rips/holes in the course. Still great fun how ever so give it a go :)

Overall a good day out and animals were fab which is what you go for.

This place has a variety of activities suitable for a range of children's ages. The dinosaur area was fantastic for any young enthusiasts and was real enough to keep a 3 year old thoroughly entertained. Parts made us jump when dinosaurs roared, but it was not too scary and lots of fun spotting eggs and baby dinosaurs. The animal section is also a good size if walking around with young children, it's not too big and the animals were visible and accessible to see. The farm section, the zebras and the penguins were a favourite for us and all the staff we encountered on our way around were really friendly. Most areas would be accessible if using a buggy apart from the upper viewing platforms. There was some covered areas although if it was a rainy day it could get very wet! Eating choices were pretty limited and it was not warm or dry enough for a picnic, it was also really loud in the soft play area for our 3 year old when eating. But overall it was a fun day out and there was plenty to do throughout our time visiting.

Brilliant place to visit and plenty to do whatever the weather is up to. With two small kids they were thoroughly entertained all day. Particularly, the new dinosaur attraction was a great hit with a 2yr old. Tickets are quite expensive but you do get a lot on offer for your money.

We visited in the Easter Holidays and it was 1/2 empty (which is not a great advertisement). The new Dinosaur part is very good and must have cost a fortune BUT to the detriment of the rest of the park which was a bit run down to say the least. The paths were uneven (esp for a wheelchair), the glass on the Gibbon enclosure had so much old dry mess down the glass you could hardly see in, the parrots & other birds had a thick mesh over the bars so you couldn't see in (much to the disappointment of our little one). TAKE A PICNIC or DISINFECTANT WIPES as the food is expensive/poor quality & the café over looking the tiger compound was so filthy we wiped our feet on leaving !!! The kids enjoyed the dinosaur train -extra £2 per person- and the girl taking the money was very friendly, about the only member of staff who was - I think they were all as unhappy as many of the animals!

What a great experience thank you.The weather may have been damp and gloomy but the staff certainly weren't. We were greeted by a smiling receptionist (sorry didn't get name)who looked after us well until our tour began. The very knowledgeable and friendly Hannah then took us round explaining the various traits of the big cats as we went round. We then fed the snow leopards which was an absolutely enjoyable experience (in the wife's good books for at least another week). The breakfast then followed with more than enough food, overlooking the tigers.Thank you once again.

Not been for few years. Came with 6 yr old grandson for an easter treat. Noticed lots of changes. Was very busy but was school holiday and the sun was shining! The dinosaur exhibition was great. Lots of lifesize dinosaurs, all animated and noisy! Very realistic and included in entry fee which surprised me! Thought was very good! However look out ...you may get wet! Cross over to the animal park where you can see lions, tigers, camels, meerkats, penguins, lots of other animals including farm animals and birds. Lots to see and do. There are shows and talks throughout the day and obviously feeding times. There are places to buy food although on busy days there are likely to be queues for food and the indoor food place was packed with no spare tables or chairs. There are stalls dotted around selling ice creams and hot dogs and a small cafe near where the lions are though this was also full when we were there. There are some tables outside by the play park so a picnic might be a good idea! Theres loads for kids to do. Paddling pool for summer months too! All in all a good day out and not too expensive considering what there is to see and do. Quite compact compared to some places and i think the restaurant could be made bigger and modernised. Parking is easy on site or in car park across the road.

We visited here during the Easter holidays and my 3yr old absolutely loved the new world of dinosaurs area of the park. It’s a must for any dinosaur loving children. The other animals were also a hit, from the marmosets and red pandas to the big cats. Lots to see here and the park is nicely sized (not too big). Plenty of play areas for the kids to let off even more energy as well. A large number of picnic benches are also dotted around the park. We will be back!!

After seeing the adverts for the new dinosaur park on Facebook we decided to treat our dinosaur mad 5 year old twins to a day out and we’re so glad we did.
I must admit I had never heard of the park until I saw it on Facebook and after reading the reviews we booked up to visit the next week!
First of all I was impressed how well sign posted the park was and how easy it was to get there!
As we entered the park the world of dinosaurs entrance was right in front of us. The twins ran straight in and raced to the first dinosaur. The dinosaurs were amazing, very realistic and every one of them moved, even blinking and breathing.
We were that impressed we went round that part of the park twice.
Later on that day the twins met the baby dinosaurs which were supervised by friendly staff.
The rest of the park was also very good. Plenty of play areas and places to eat. We took a picnic but the food smelt lovely and wasn’t overpriced.
The animals in the zoo area all seemed very happy and there was lots of information on them.

We usually bypass a gift shop but we visited the Dino-store as we had promised the twins a souvenir. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety and the prices. All seemed very fair. We don’t usually buy stuff from gift shops but we bought several items.
Overall a fantastic day and we have already recommended it to several friends.

We have just visited the park! Even though raining we received the most amazing customer service from your staff! While waiting for the train in the pouring rain our 4 year old son decided to start a conversation with the very lovely lady taking tickets for the train I didn't catch her name but was told by Tom ( also lovely) that her name was Antoinette??! She stood and spoke and played along with my son's imagination ( as I'm sure she doesn't really live with the dinasour "Vinny" on disembarking the train she was waiting with " Vinny"for my kids to see! I can honestly say it made their trip! Thank you lovely lady xxx

6 of us including grand parents, a teenager, 8yr boy visited during Easter holiday on Saturday. Not too busy.
Enjoyed all areas of the park.
Recommend taking packed lunch as foods are expensive. A cup of tea £2.50, an ice cream £2.50.
A short train ride around the dinosaur area is £2/pp.

We visited Wednesday with my 3 year old granddaughter. Despite the drizzle, we had a great day. Lots to do, dinosaurs were impressive and my granddaughter loved them. Animals looked happy and children were able to get close enough to look properly. The adults also enjoyed the day. In my opinion, the one downside was lack of food choices, on a sunny day it would have been ok. Also, my granddaughter didn’t like the soft play area as it was quite noisy - inevitable with families avoiding the rain showers.
We will definitely visit again.

Even though Paradise Wildlife Park is about half the size of Whipsnade or Chester zoos, there is a lot to see and do. And lots of entertainment for young children, including performers, slides and play areas. The design of the enclosures enables you to get up close to the big cats and other animals. And the shuttle bus from Broxbourne station (£3 return) means the zoo is really easy to visit by public transport. Entry costs £21 for adults but there are family deals and annual membership packages available.

We visited early on Good Friday to beat the typical bank holiday weather and were very surprised at the whole park. We were a group of four adults with a 4 month old and thoroughly enjoyed our time in the park. The new dinosaur park is first rate and really makes you glad that they don’t roam the earth anymore! Full size animatronic models that roar, blink, breathe and move heads and tails were very impressive.

As for the rest of the park, I have never been so close to big cats at any zoo.

We will definitely be returning as our grandson grows to enjoy the animals and the extensive play areas.

We have been to Paradise Wildlife Park many times and always enjoyed visits, prices have gone up but still in keeping with other similar places. We were with daughter her partner and grandson and all loved the Dinosaurs, plenty of things for grandson to play and climb on generally a good day. The one thing that we did not like very much was the huge number of young children on scooters, in some of the narrow pathways we had to get out of the way pretty quick . The scooters became such a danger at Marwell that they banned them,

We visited the Park on Easter Sunday, as it was the only decent day weather wise for a bank holiday weekend and they had recently opened the Dinosaur area, so we were intrigued.
We arrived just after opening (9.30) and there was plenty of parking and no queues to get in, which is always a good start, although there's plenty of parking so I doubt this is an issue. The prices aren't much different to the likes of Whipsnade or Woburn and it is a lot smaller, but has a surprisingly good selection of animals and things to do and has the added bonus of not having to walk to the moon and back with two kids (5 & 18 months) and the various paraphanalia that comes with them, to see something they were excited about but now just need the toilet which is back where you have just come from, so I think the size of the Park is perfect.

First up you'll hit the Dinosaur area. Now I'll be honest I was expecting some tacky fibreglass models with an annoying loop tape of ripped off Jurassic Park theme tunes playing everywhere, but I was pleasantly surprised; the models were fantastic!! They are all anamatronic models with moving limbs, heads, mouths, replicated breathing, even eyelids and eyes were moving and they had some fairly decent sound effects for each with a info plaque near each model. The kids loved them and so did we, so much so we ended up going round again later on in the day.

As for the rest of the Park, it's brilliant for such a small site. The enclosures for the animals are not huge, but substantial and best of all you can get pretty close to most of them (safely) and get some really decent pictures which is normally lacking in the bigger Zoo's. There is also a good selection of animals to see which again surprised me.
I am absolutely no expert on how to care for a wild animal like some people claim to be on here, but from what we saw the animals seemed well looked after and were obviously fed and whilst the enclosures were not huge they are obviously big enough or the Zoo wouldn't exist. As for 'enrichment' that everyone seems to be banging on about, you don't see a lion on a David Attenborough show playing with a multicoloured plastic ball in the middle of the Savannah, so why should they play with one in an enclosure.... sort your lives out.

A couple of the sections were closed on the day (nocturnal and part of Big Cat being developed) but these were due to expansion or improvement and were noted on the website and made no difference to the enjoyment of our day in fact it was good to see the Park is developing.

Best part about this park is that, even though there were a lot of people there, you weren't fighting to see the animals and having to elbow people out of the way so the kids could get a glimpse of something; one of the things I despise in the other places.

Food.... As is always the case with any attraction like this, the food is normally extortionate and terrible.... in this case the pricing wasn't horrendous although still a bit on the pricy side, but it was actually pretty good. The kids and the Mrs had burger, chips and beans, which were very nice , for around £7 which included a drink and I had a jacket potato with salad,m pulled pork, bacon and cheese which was £7.90 again, including a drink.... and this was really well cooked and not like eating a cricket ball like I expected. My advice would be , if you are going to the main eating hall near the entrance, get there around 11.30 or earlief if you want to eat inside or just eat outside if it's nice, as it gets rammed really quickly and nobody wants screaming hungry kids who can't sit down anywhere, whilst listening to a cacophany of other people's screaming kids in a packed food hall that's getting warmer by the second......... alternatively bring a packed lunch, it'll save you some money and there's plenty of benches about, but the food there is good.

There is also a shed load of things to do for the kids if/When they get bored, in the big play area just Inside the entrance, there's also a mini golf area, fire engines to sit in, slides, swings etc, etc plenty to keep them entertained anyway.

The only small gripe I had was some of the staff could be a little bit more enthusiastic and show a bit more urgency when doing things and have a bit more of a rapport with the paying punters. A lot of the time waiting in food/drinks queues was either due to lack of staff or lack of competent staff, but this is a very small blot on an otherwise brilliant day.

Would definitely recommend this to anyone with a young family who wants the Zoo experience, but not the marathon that goes with it and has something a little different to the rest.
