I got bought the big cat experience for Christmas last year. I visited today and although it was snowing very heavily the staff were more than happy to go ahead with the experience. We were looker after by Cassie, one of the keepers, who was very welcoming and had great knowledge on the big cats. I was able to prepare their food, was shown around the facilitiy, and was able to feed several big cats. I mentioned to Cassie how Lions were my favourite to which stayed longer in the lion enclosure. Regardless of the weather I cannot fault the staff and the park and it was one of the better experiences I have encountered. Thank You! 🦁

Ive never heard of this place up until a week ago! So yesterday (23/12/17) we decided to make the 3 hour journey up to check the place out and we are so glad we did! We took part in the lion & tiger feed and it was worth every penny to actually have them feed out of your hand! Truly breath taking! The keeper was so passionate with the cats and full of knowledge. Made us feel very welcome, that goes for all the staff we came into contact with. All animals looked happy and enclosures were really good and well maintained! I loved the viewing platform especially on most enclosures, I think most zoos should do this! Gives a much better experience! I don’t have children myself but there seemed like so much for them to do there! Endless amount of activities for them to take part in! More than any zoo I’ve previously gone to! I highly recommend taking a look at this zoo if you can and especially doing an animal experience! We can’t wait to return! Thank you to all the staff that made our day amazing! :)

The kids have been many times and this was my first visit. I enjoyed the walk round even though it was so cold. There weren't many people that day so seeing everything was easy. The animals all looked well cared for and didn't seem intimidated by humans looking at them. the reptile house was interesting ( and warm ). i look forward to going back on a summers day. A lot of the activities for the kids were shut. it is not a cheap day out for a family of four but we have and annual season ticket which is well worth while as the kids really enjoy and learn there. Now the restaurant is worthy of a mention. The staff are very friendly and the food came quickly. The place is like a school or hospital canteen. The burger was edible but to describe it as Gourmet is a bit much. again this becomes quite expensive. ( no difference anywhere in england )

Entertaining day out for young children. Zoo with caring staff, crazy golf, train rides, playground and bouncy castle etc. Picnic areas and typical restaurant for theme parks serving burgers, pizza baked potato etc. Visited several times with kids from 5 to 10 and they have always enjoyed it.

Had never heard of this zoo until I googled local zoos in Hertfordshire. It’s a lovely location with plenty of parking. Visited with family. It was a great day out. Not too busy and it’s well maintained. Animals looked healthy and live shows entertained the crowds. The star of the show was a white tiger. We took a picnic so not sure about the price of food. It’s a great place for younger kids and there is plenty of space for pushchairs. There is also a indoor play area for rainy days.
