Lovely place to visit with kids, tons of animals to see, great playground, well organized place, and staff were always happy to help. Large parking space, and it's free. Definitely recommend.

Zoo has spent a lot of time on aesthetics and layout. Very good experience. Animals wells cared for. Enrichment visible and spaces for them to have privacy. Lots to see and do but not too much walking.

Excellent zoo where the animals are clearly treated really well and great efforts at conservation. Facilities are great. Offerings beyond just the zoo such as the soft play and speedway museum are great for a family day out!

We had a fantastic time at the zoo! It was such a lovely experience for my two little ones, who absolutely adored seeing all the animals. They had a blast running around and especially enjoyed the soft play area. It was a wonderful day filled with fun and excitement! Highly recommend it for families!

Took out two kids (3;6) for a visit in Feb, zoo staff really friendly and helpful, zoo very clean and looks like they either really maintain it or have done a lot of work to it in recent time. Had a good array of food options (if I'd realised they did breakfast I'd have started the day in their cafe). Prices of the coffee were really reasonable. Got to see a good amount of animals and there is a full programme of talks . They have another area they are working on which can only make it even better and the soft play area is very good. Will definitely the kidsdefinitely

Been a few years since we last visited the zoo. Was a very good day out, the zoo has been renovated greatly. only thing that was disappointing was the lack of 'big' animals.

Nice zoo. Loads to see for the kids, relatively quiet, and the food was lovely too.
Only downside i guess is you could see some of the animals were clearly stressed out.

Had a brilliant day at Hertfordshire Zoo. Lovely people and a lovely place. You can tell they care about the animals and are adding lots of new areas/updating older ones. The big cats were amazing to see up close, and the World of Dinosaurs is really fun. They have lots of park areas and places to eat.
The highlight of the day/main reason to visit was the One Zoo Three Meet & Greet. The little super fan got to meet the lads, and they were absolutely lovely—so friendly and sweet. Even though a very excited super fan was completely overwhelmed they were so kind and made it such a special experience.
It was lovely to hear about all the work they are doing from the Big Cat Sanctuary as well!
The staff were super friendly and really knew their stuff.

Loved this Zoo so much! We had a wonderful weekend experience with the family and kids - loved big cats and bears! Dinosaurs part of a Zoo is a good adventure with kids. Will come again!

On Monday 17th February we had the amazing opportunity to take part in the 'Big Cat Experience' where we got to feed a tiger called Siberia! Our zoo keeper Vivienne (sorry if we have not spelt your name correctly) was so lovely and informative, she taught us so much and really made the experience very enjoyable. After feeding Siberia the tiger, we enjoyed exploring the rest of the zoo. It was our first time here ,as our local zoo is Whipsnade, and we were so impressed with Hertfordshire Zoo. Lovely and clean zoo and spacious homes for the animals which was great to see. We will definitely be back in the summer!

This zoo is amazing, highly recommend. Have lots of interesting and interacting animals. It has various different places to have a tea and Coffee. My family enjoyed this so much. Have been many times and planning to come again.
