We recently visited Hertfordshire Zoo, with the little one and mrs and it was an amazing experience! The variety of animals was impressive, and it was clear that the staff is dedicated to their care and wellbeing. The enclosures were spacious and well-maintained, making it easy to see the animals in their natural habitats.

The zoo is perfect for families, with plenty of activities for kids, including interactive exhibits and educational talks. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to answer questions and share interesting facts about the animals.

I particularly enjoyed the walkthrough aviary, where I was surrounded by beautiful birds flying freely. The picnic areas were a nice touch, allowing us to relax and enjoy our lunch amidst the lovely surroundings.

Overall, Hertfordshire Zoo is a fantastic day out, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to connect with nature and learn more about wildlife. It's definitely worth a visit.

Took my niece and her friend here. It is a lovely little zoo. I really loved the inclusivity and accessibility there as I do have mobility issues.

It was quite cold so some of the animals opted to stay where they had warmth but the girls saw enough to be excited.

There were a few areas that were closed but I assume this is due to the time of year.

The zoo itself is easy enough to get to and we had no issues with parking. I imagine it will be different in warmer months.

I did find that the gift shop was extremely overpriced and we are not members so did not benefit from the 10% discount. I will say that these type of pricing structures are not unusual at attractions though.

The dinosaur park was cute and we opted to take the train around so there was less walking. It was nice but I think it would have been better if there was a bit more of a guided tour so children knew the names of the various dinosaurs.

Kids love it here but has got a bit pricey with the new costing for tickets. Massive pain being cashless as the kids are always given spending money and can't pay using cash anywhere but still a good day out.
Dinosaur train should be included like other zoos but worth going on as only way to see the wolves

Very nice zoo. Neat and clean with lovely enclosures for the animals. Lots do to for kids as well with a little indoor play area and outdoor play area. Several talks in different animals/topics throughout the day. We went just after Christmas but the decorations were still up and it still felt festive and cheerful but it wasn't very busy. There are a few shops and eating areas. The zoo is just big enough for a day out without it feeling overwhelming and exhausting. The Dino exhibit is also quite cool. Can definitely recommend going.

It was a Roar-some Experience at Hertfordshire Zoo! I had fun 🤩

If your little ones are dinosaur enthusiasts and animal lovers, Hertfordshire Zoo is a MUST-VISIT! Located in the heart of Hertfordshire, this fantastic zoo offers an unforgettable experience.

Witnessing the life-sized dinosaurs up close was breathtaking – a dream come true for kids (and adults!) who've only seen them in videos and photos. The zoo's interactive exhibits and immersive experience make learning about Jurassic animals an absolute delight.

But it's not just about the dinosaurs – the real animals at the zoo are just as fascinating! Getting up close and personal with nature's beauty is an experience your kids will cherish.

Don't miss out on this fantastic adventure! However, it’s going to dip your pocket a little but it’s worth the experience.

Great zoo. Lions and tigers are in great condition. Dinosaurs are so realistic with mechanical movement.

The only let down is the restaurant. 35 minutes to prepare 2x chicken nuggest and chips.

Even on a cold December weekday there was plenty going on and so much to see. We were lucky enough to see most of the animals in their exhibits, plus we went to one of the many animals talks including feeding the penguins and the bird show. It's a fairly compact zoo set into two halves: the dinosaurs and play areas with a restaurant on one side, then cross the road to the animal zoo. There's plenty of parking and it all seems very accessible throughout (we had a pushchair with no problems). The animals had interesting enclosures and some were being upgraded through the off-season. One of the highlights has to be the lions, who you can get really close to behind glass.

We visited the zoo today and despite the terrible weather conditions we still had a really good day. The staff were cheerful and helpful even in the wind and rain and we enjoyed a good lunch in the cafe. The children really enjoyed their Santa visits, dinosaur train ride and time in the soft play. We saw a good selection of well looked after animals, though some were keeping inside in the warm, but the zoo were keen to offer us a future free revisit to make up for this. Thank you everyone.

We had a nice day out, being off season it was quiet, which was nice for us. It seems to have improved since we last went just after lockdown. They are continuously making improvements to and building new enclosures for the animals, upgrading what they have. We were able to see nearly all of the animals, birds, and reptiles. The red pandas were hiding, and a couple of others we weren't able to see. The dinosaur world is good for any 9 with large animatronic models of dinosaurs that move and make sound. The tickets are quite expensive if paying full price but we had discounted tickets for the day. Cafe has good options and is not too expensive.
