Outstanding friendly service. My wife's lost pendant was recreated to perfection from a photograph, and we have just taken delivery of a bespoke eternity ring to fit with self-designed wedding and engagement rings.

When the pearl fell off my favourite ring, I took it to Lance James to be repaired because people had told me good things about it. They weren't wrong! I was delighted both with the quality of workmanship and the service. I was given the cost upfront so I knew what I was committing to, and told how long I should expect - in fact the work was finished earlier than I'd expected. After repair, the ring's as good as new again, and the pearl's setting is incredibly robust. When I had the same problem a few years ago, I'd had it repaired at another jeweller. I didn't know how much it was going to cost before the repair had been completed, and it was more expensive than Lance James. The quality of workmanship had also been quite low - the pearl had always felt a bit loose so it was no surprise when it sheered off when I knocked my hand against something. This makes me even more delighted with the Lance James repair - I'm definitely happy to recommend them 100%.

My girlfriend couldn’t find the engagement ring she wanted so I thought it would be best for her to design it then it would be exactly what she wanted. After having a few quotes that were really expensive, Lance James offered a much more reasonable quote so my girlfriend went to their shop in Hertford to discuss her designs. She met with Sian and Amy who were both really helpful. I had already bought her centre diamond so they were discussing the setting and extra diamonds she wanted adding. They had a few meetings to discuss designs and sent lots of emails back and forth so everything was explained very well. Sian was very patient and knowledgeable offering advice about the setting, side diamonds, sizing and cost. Needless to say when I actually proposed, the ring was exactly what she wanted. She loves it more each day. My new Fiancé is quite a perfectionist so the service and expertise at Lance James in Hertford was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this Company, you get a much more personal and tailored experience rather than shopping with High Street Jewellers that everyone goes to. Plus her ring is a one off. No doubt we will be back for the wedding bands.

Lance James and Jackie in particular have been brilliant to my family and I over the years, even hanging on to a bespoke ring that we were unable to pay for when expected due to an unforeseen financial setback (now paid for thankfully). My family and I have purchased a total of 5 bespoke rings from Lance James for marries etc. and can not be happier with the service and finished products!
