Parkrun launched in Guernsey at the beginning of April 2016, providing a weekly free 5km event for runners, joggers and walkers of all ages.

The 2015 Specsavers Youth Games take place at Footes Lane on 13th June. This biennial inter-parish competition encourages year five and six primary school children to compete in sports they have not tried before, with a focus on fun and fair play.
The Guernsey Sports Commission will be receiving £66,000 over the next three years to support delivery of the Street Sports programme from 2015 until 2017, a community initiative that offers local youths the chance to take part in sport in their own neighbourhoods.
