After a week in "the town", we thought we'd try something further afield. It's in the middle of nowhere; don't bother with the buses; you'll need a taxi. Then, two hours later, you'll realise you're in Hotel California: you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave. Getting home is not easy. Many thanks to the staff for eventually finding us a taxi. You should use the app. The food is very good, and the prices fair. Service is excellent. They had run out of Herm oysters, which was disappointing, but they made up for it. Well worth a trip out to the marina.

Very talented chef here! I had local sea bass served on a herby potato cake with pea shoots and seasonal greens, hollandaise and brown shrimp butter. It was sensational and by far the best sea bass meal in a restaurant I’ve ever had. The combination of ingredients was well thought out, well balanced and able to taste the individual elements without any taste over riding anything else. It was that good I’m tempted to book another visit to Guernsey just to go back to this restaurant!
My partner (vegetarian) had the herby green risotto which she thoroughly enjoyed; I tasted some myself and agreed that it had a lovely flavour. This place is a must go to if you find yourself In Guernsey.

This spot has a lovely view of the sea whilst you eat your food, the service is amazing and all waiters/waitresses were so welcoming to everyone and helped us pick out any part of our meals. Very family-friendly.

My Chicken Caesar Salad was delicious with a very tasty dressing and well balanced. best Caesar salad I have ever had.
My wife likes to have Fish & Chips when she can and then compare various restaurants. She said these fish & chips at Saltwater rank in her top 3 and were delicious. Three problems however (but still a 5 star score). Saltwater or their Chef has succumbed to the current, annoying trend of placing the fish on top of the chips which then makes the chips soggy. Please put the chips to the side of the fish on a warm plate. Saltwater have beautiful crockery especially the plate that my wife's fish and chips were served on but they ruined the look by putting the fish & chips on mock newspaper. This is a restaurant not a beach side cafe and with high end restaurant prices she did not expect bits of paper on her plate. Unnecessary and off-putting.
lastly the restaurant was very stingy on the chips. There were very few with the fish and chips so we ordered another bowl of chips at the extra cost of £5. There were only 10 chips in this side order (50p a chip) .
These minor irritations did not detract from our overall experience and we will be back but just not ordering chips as what we got was not value for money.

Our best meal in Guernsey by far. A welcoming calm restaurant in a fine setting, run by kind people, with some really impressive dishes on the menu. Everything was prepared and cooked particularly well, including some wonderful turbot with brown shrimp butter, and a fine prawn and crab tagliatelle.
This is well worth a special trip to the North East of Guernsey. The restaurant is lovely, inside and outside, and the area around the marina is beautiful.We ate at a number of places around the island, and this was far better than any other offerings, and certainly not stuck in the 1980's like quite a bit of the island.

We had a great evening at Saltwater, attentive staff and fabulous seafood, what more could you wish for? Clearly well frequented by local people, the terrace overlooking the harbour/marina and the restaurant itself are well presented, clean and characterful with a choice of dishes extending well beyond the normally expected choices. Service was reserved and respectful, with a younger team member being given the opportunity to engage with guests without supervision being unduly close. Weather could have been warmer, but otherwise confidently recommended!

Saltwater staff from front of house to the kitchen had obviously focussed on getting things perfect. The Cocktails were some of the best we ever had. The seafood biased menu is not normally my preference as I rather go for meat but every dish was perfect and so tasty. The staff were very busy but coped providing a great service. Well done to Monika and her staff.

We have been coming to Beaucette in our boat for many years, and the restaurant has changed hands several times. For some years now, the friendly and attentive team is excellently managed by Monica and the food and atmosphere is excellent.
Of course, the views are also stunning over the marina.Whether you want a coffee to break a walk or a small lunch or large dinner, you won’t be disappointed.

Superb food, friendly service, clean and beautiful surroundings. I had steak fillet which was one of the best I have had in years.

We were meant to visit Saltwater on our last visit to Guernsey, but unfortunately we had to cancel due to our ferry being rearranged. We therefore made it our priority to visit there first this year…WOW. It was worth the wait. Every part of the meal was incredible. The Herm oysters were a beautiful starter and the bread was a nice touch too. The main courses were incredible value for money and the fish as you would expect, tasted amazing and was cooked beautifully. The strawberry cheesecake was the icing on a perfect evening. We have already booked to visit again!
