We stay at this hotel every year, it's our home away from home. Always first class service and this year was no exception, from the minute you step through the door the staff ensure you have the warmest of welcomes and go out of their way to ensure your total comfort, the stresses and strains of life completely evaporate on entering this oasis of peace.
Elegant surroundings and excellent food, it was particularly nice to see the manager and assistant manager working alongside their staff on New Years Eve to serve the meal, they lead by example and the staff have a clear sense of purpose and appear to genuinely enjoy their work.

Stayed just one night with my wife as a break from the kids. It was perfect the room clean comfortable and quiet. The decor was tasteful and well thought out.
The food excellent we had dinner and breakfast both were top notch.
The thing that stood out most were the staff. At all levels they were courteous and attentive exceptionally professional and you felt they genuinely were interested in your wellbeing, nothing was too much trouble.
It does come at a price but would recommend this hotel and it would be our first choice for a stay in Guernsey.

My husband and I spent three very comfortable nights at this wonderful hotel located right in the heart of St Peter Port.
The service was outstanding – every staff member took a genuine interest in our well being, and some went way above and beyond the call of duty.
On the first night the chef Robert overhead me talking about (of all things) porridge and we ended up having a chat. I told him I like steel cut oats (pinhead oats). To my delight and amazement, he had some specially brought in from the mainland which was no mean feat with the storms playing havoc on supply lines. Such a wonderful service ethos - thank you Robert!
Breakfast was varied, plentiful and beautifully fresh – amazing that they could get such a good selection of fresh fruit there at this time of year. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant one night which was excellent.
We loved exploring the different parts of the hotel – the Crown Club and the lovely room with all the couches and fireplaces. Spa Day for two with treatment:
When booking this 5 star spa experience I hoped for a lovely spa, which was up to date and easy to enjoy/ get to!
Unfortunately, it did not live up to this expectation!
My boyfriend and I travel around spas as a hobby and this one did not cut it facility wise.
However, Sarah, who did my hour facial, was unbelievably great! Met us with a beaming smile , shook hands and made me feel very comfortable throughout !
The facial was perfect- she listened to my requirements and even adapted the treatment when my skin became sensitive !
She is a real asset to the team and is worth 5 stars reading customer service and welfare ! This needs to be noticed and rewarded
Sadly, I was very disappointed that the swimming pool (outdoors) is only accessible thought the hotel itself - including the restaurant!!?? Or outside on the street. I was extremely uncomfortable at this and hope to see changes.
Sadly I did not have the flip flops - nor offered any- so I walked outside bare foot in my robe!
The food was okay- but not amazing- had the cheese toasty- needs to be much smaller in portion !.
However, yet again, your staff save you!
They are so kind, not judgement even though we are young and very polite ! Everyone who was working in the restaurant at 12:30 on the 9/8/18 must be rewarded immensely !!

We're told it's the best hotel in Guernsey and I'm sure it is but as we fell in love with OGH from day one we've not been elsewhere to stay on the island. From arrival to departure your every need is anticipated and supplied by wonderful staff who never fail to smile and for whom nothing is too much bother. Everyone is greeted like an old friend ( and many are just that) and like us return year after year. Great accommodation, dining and leisure.Easy walk downhill into town and if you can't face the climb back it's only a couple of minutes by taxi.

Without doubt my favourite hotel in the world. I love going back here everytime, though its mostly with work. The staff are utterly amazing and this alone makes you want to come back again and again.. there is nothing that they wont or cant do for you. The hotel is beautifully decorated as are the rooms which ooze decadence and charm..and wonderfully appointed. Its ideally situated to explore St Peter Port. The restaurants are wonderful especially the Indian and breakfast is a tour de force. The only sad thing is when i have to leave.. but then you count the days till when you come back.. just simply wonderful.

Gym, the people at the gym are very helpful and it is a lovely little set up! I have just joined this week and already enjoying going and I don't really enjoy fitness any more so that's new for me. The staff have really helped me understand what I need to be doing and how to get started and I feel confident they will help me along my journey. :)

Super meal by Indian specialist Bronwent was first class and the restaurant service the same. Extremely good value considering the quality, the ambiance of the surroundings and the courtesy shown. If you think £15 is expensive don't order it.

Great service with proper tea served on the terrace. The views are somewhat blocked by a ivy covered low stone wall, but this adds to the intimate feel of the venue.
