On Saturday 8 June, an enthusiastic group of volunteers will be helping visitors get a closer look at the collections at Exeter’s Royal Albert Memorial Museum (RAMM) and St Nicholas Priory.
RAMM will be celebrating the contribution of its volunteers with a selection of volunteer-led activities for all the family: spotlight tours featuring different aspects of the displays, handling a range of artefacts, trying on costumes and other family activities. Activities run from 10am to 5pm and all activities are free.
At St Nicholas Priory there are Tudor costumes to dress up in, Tudor games to play, magnetic mosaics and 45-minute tours starting at 11am and 2pm. Activities run from 10am to 1pm and 2 to 4pm, admission is charged.
This event was organised as part of the National Volunteering Week. RAMM has around 120 volunteers who support the museum in many ways across all departments. Those interested in volunteering with RAMM can email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the volunteer section on RAMM’s website.
