Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service are reminding people to be aware of possible flooding later today and over the weekend as predicted by the Met Office.
With the current weather warnings in place, South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) is urging the public to stay safe and keep informed.
People living close to the River Exe in Topsham and any other parts of Exeter that are at risk of flooding from tidal waters are being warned to protect their properties from an expected tidal surge tomorrow morning (Friday 3 January).
The public are reminded that the Fire Brigades Union has announced a further strike date in a dispute with the Government over pension reforms tonight (24 December) 19:00hrs – 12:00 midnight.
