Delivery of the distinctive Vauxhall Vivaro was taken by Group Corporate Aviation Manager Chris Beer who heads a team of three offering a premier corporate concierge service, bespoke to the needs of private passenger clients. The team Marshall the aircraft to the parking area and meet theVIPpassengers and crew before using the vehicle for transferal to the terminal or their onward transport.  The rich and famous are regular passengers to Exeter and include Royalty, Heads of State and Government officials. Exeter is the destination for many clients but others travel onward throughout the South West region.

The branded nine-seat vehicle has a long wheel base which maximises luggage capacity, the rear passenger doors open on both sides and the seats fold down for extra room; important features for private corporate passengers using Exeter Airport.

Chris Beer â Group Corporation Aviation Manager says: “Vehicle Save supplied us with our original corporate aviation bus five years ago offering a competitive deal and an excellent service. Exeter Airport prefers to use local suppliers wherever possible and they were a natural choice for a second vehicle.  They took all our style and comfort requirements into consideration, as well as the need to transport our passengers’ luggage which can sometimes consist of up to eight pieces per person.. Corporation Aviation is an important service for the airport which helps to boost the local economy as we regularly look after six of the top ten people who appear in the Sunday Times Rich list.”

Vehicle Save Contract Hire & Leasing Limited, part of The Vehicle Save Group is operated by local businessman Jim Howard which incorporates the franchise for the South West peninsula for Europcar Rentals.  The two independent businesses provide complementing services of contract hire & leasing and daily rentals with its head office based in Marsh Barton.

Andy Tomlinson Contracts Hire Manager â Vehicle Save Contract Hire & Leasing says: “We have developed a long-term relationship with Chris working closely with him to ensure we met his brief.  We carried out full research in order to select a vehicle which was practical for the airport’s needs as well as taking into account the green values and economics.  The ecoFLEX engine on the new vehicle is more fuel efficient and has low CO2 emissions; important criteria for Exeter Airport who embrace green credentials wherever possible.  It was more expensive in the short-term but will make fuel savings over a three year period. In addition Vauxhall unlike some competitors offer a service agreement of two years or 20,000 miles which means there is minimum downtime for the Corporate Aviation service provided to its valued clients.”
