Why not organise an adventure with Devon Country Pursuits who are based at the Escot Country Park Estate, near Exeter. There is a huge range of activities to choose from to suit all ages, and catering for all tastes in exciting adventure activities. There is everything from Paintball and Laser Tag, to Clay and air rifle shooting and archery, to the thrills of Quad Biking and Segway riding. You can also explore the maze, and play on inflatables and much more. Devon Country Pursuits have more than twenty five years experience in organising great days out.

Of course a great day out means many different things to many different people. Whatever you are looking for you will probably find it at Bicton Park Botanical Gardens. Situated near the historic City of Exeter in the beautiful Otter Valley close to the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, Bicton Park is set in tranquil Grade 1 listed gardens with beautiful landscapes, plants, trees and greenhouses. There is plenty to see and do with the Countryside Museum with a fantastic display of nostalgic delights for all generations including traction engines, vintage machinery, traditional tools, tractors and domestic memorabilia that trace the history of rural life at Bicton and elsewhere in Britain over the last three centuries. You will probably want to take a ride on the Bicton Woodland Railway which was developed in the early 1960s as an additional attraction within the gardens and runs every day. To complete your day make sure you visit the Bicton Shop where will find a host of varied and unusual gifts for friends and family.

A unique day out to remember for kids of all ages, with the diggers, rides and camping too, at Diggerland Them Park , in the beautiful Devon Countryside just off the M5. You can drive real life, full size construction machines under the guidance of trained staff who will make sure you get the most out of your day. There are rides and activities for all the family, although of course for safety reasons height restrictions apply on some machines. You can ride on Sky Shuttle or Spin Dizzy and you can really dig the dirt with a six ton digger. Special attractions include the Big Digger experience & JCB experience. For an extra thrill why not try Formula JCB racing or Dumper Truck Racing.

Easter wouldn’t be Easter without chocolate so why not call in to Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe in North Street Exeter where you can design and build your very own Easter egg and select your filling, or of course there are plenty of readymade eggs to choose from too! As always Mr Simms has a huge range of traditional sweets in jars as well as Exeter’s largest pick ‘n’ mix selection.

Another shop in Exeter offering locally produced sweets and chocolates is SweetCheeks.co.uk on South Street, where you will also find a range of fudges and Devonshire farmhouse ice cream.
