This challenge gives members of Defenders Shipâs Company a perfect opportunity to say thank you and further strengthen already well established bonds with our affiliates who provide invaluable support to Defender all year round. Heading up the team from HMS Defender Lieutenant Commander Ben Keith, Executive Officer, said: "A challenge such as this will strengthen the ties we have already forged with our affiliated cities and charities in Exeter and Glasgow and give the team from HMS Defender a chance to showcase the famous Defender spirit in what will undoubtedly be extremely challenging conditions". Dream-A-Way Chairman Jeff Merrett said "We have a wonderful relationship with the ship's company of HMS Defender and are honoured to be one of their chosen charities. We wish the team good luck with this challenge hope that the people of Exeter will give them generous support" Charitable donations can be made to the Ships charities, Dream-a-Way and Kelbourne Park School, via the ship's donation page at and 'This Way Up' a local Land Rover charity.
