What’s your favourite banger? Tell us and you could win a year’s worth of sausages!
Charity calls for everyone across Devon to great creative with their banger flavours
Big hearted The Butchers at Darts Farm have chosen a unique way to support Devon Air Ambulance, and you can benefit from it too!
They’re asking what ingredients your favourite banger would have in it? Then simply give it a name and if you are the winner you will get a year’s worth of sausages, plus your sausage will go on sale at The Butchers at Darts Farm and their butchery counter at Fermoys Garden Centre in Ipplepen, Newton Abbot with £1 from every pound in weight sold being donated back to Devon Air Ambulance.
You can either enter online at www.daat.org/sausage-comp or pop into The Butchers at Darts Farm or Fermoys and pick up an entry form. The closing date is Friday 14 September at 5pm.
The Butchers at Darts Farm and Devon Air Ambulance will shortlist to three sausages, and these three will be put in front of an exclusive judging panel who will decide which is the winner.
Alastair David of The Butchers at Darts Farm and Fermoys said “We’ve run a similar competition before which was very popular and raised more than £1,200 for a local charity. When we were looking at how we could support Devon Air Ambulance, this seemed the natural thing to do again. We’re looking forward to seeing what sorts of ingredients feature, and of course seeing the names that are thought of which link to Devon Air Ambulance.”
Caroline Creer, Fundraising and Communications Director for Devon Air Ambulance said “We would like to thank Alastair and Philip and everyone at The Butchers at Darts Farm for their support of the charity. It really does mean a great deal.” She added “We’re really looking forward to seeing what sort of ingredients and varieties of sausages our imaginative supporters come up with, and of course tasting them!”
