Patronal Festival: 800 Years of St Peter ad Vincula, Folkington

Join us for a very special summer celebration marking 800 years of St Peter ad Vincula, Folkington – a landmark occasion in the life of our village church.

The festival runs from 12.30pm to 6.00pm, offering a relaxed afternoon of music, food, community, and traditional village festivities in a beautiful rural Sussex setting.

At the heart of the day will be Choral Evensong at 5.00pm, sung by the Salehurst Choir and led by the Ven. Martin Lloyd Williams, Archdeacon of Brighton & Lewes.

Throughout the afternoon there will be plenty to enjoy, including:

  • Mr Brain sausage rolls
  • Long Man beer on tap
  • A large second-hand book sale
  • Summer plant stall
  • Tombola and prizes
  • Refreshments available throughout

Whether you are a regular member of the congregation, a local resident, or simply looking for a pleasant summer outing in the countryside, you will be warmly welcomed.

Please do come and share in this milestone celebration as we mark eight centuries of worship, community, and heritage at St Peter ad Vincula, Folkington.
