The children's bereavement team at St Wilfrid's Hospice is inviting anyone under the age of 18 to a free creative afternoon on Thursday 30th July.
The Seahorse Project offers counselling support to bereaved youngsters aged between 6 and 18 years old in Eastbourne, Seaford, Hailsham, Uckfield, Heathfield and all points between. However, the creative event is open to all children and young people, regardless of whether they are known to St Wilfrid’s.
The event takes place between 3pm and 4.30pm and attendees will have the opportunity to make postcards and decorate photo frames inspired by a happy memory or special day. Or they may wish to take a moment to remember someone important who has died, and meet others who understand.
Lisa Perrins, Seahorse Project Co-ordinator, said: “We're really looking forward to our first creative afternoon and hope to welcome lots of children and young people. No prior connection to the hospice is needed and all are welcome. All we ask is that children attend with an adult family member, who stays on site throughout the event.”
