Sunday’s are lazy days, right? Well, not in Eastbourne…

No sooner have we recovered from all the fun of Eastbourne Carnival, the Eastbourne Cycling Festival descends on The Western Lawns (seafront) this Sunday 2nd June. The FREE event showcases many cycling and sports activities. There is something for all ages to enjoy! It has definitely inspired me to dig out my bike, brush off the cobwebs and get back in action this summer.

Events include Penny Farthing races (ask your grandparents!), schools’ relays, stunt riding and more. Now in its fourth year, the festival has this year chosen The Chaseley Trust as its charity of choice. Chaseley will receive donations from entrants of the mountain bike ride. Funds raised will buy new equipment for Chaseley’s wheelchair accessible ‘Activate’ Gym.The Chaseley Trust is well known in Eastbourne, providing residential, respite and day care for people with severe physical disabilities.
