Hellingly HoundDogs YAFC are pleased to announce an exciting development of an invitational midseason Flag tournament.

The HoundDogs have hosted several friendly tournaments since their formation in 2016 and this is another leap forward for the club.

The event will take place on Sunday the 14th of July and host teams from Kent Exiles, Kent Phoenix, Solent Spitfires and newly formed Brighton and Hove Scorpions.

The club have invested in 2 hand crafted wooden bowls which will be presented to the winning teams annually, along with each player receiving their individual winners medals.

Chairman, Luke Boorer added "This event is something the Committee have been working hard to deliver and we want it to become something the whole country want to get involved in. Currently we have 5 teams involved for the first year but are looking to possibly expand this over the next couple of years. We are lucky that at Horsebridge we could potentially have 6 pitches, so expanding shouldn't be a problem. As usual, part of our clubs thinking is to work with the community,  so we have tried to utalise local business. Our BBQ meat has all come from Alderman's Butchers in Newick, we have had T-shirts printed at Print Asylum in Uckfield, the wood for the awards from EC Forest Products at Whitesmith, the logo was designed by local artist Rachel Jones and we have had many raffle prizes donated by local business. We are hoping for a sunny day and some fantastic football along with lots of spectators."

The day is due to start around 10AM.

Hellingly HoundDogs would like to thank the following for their donations:

Haulaways - Wine Hamper
Hailsham Pavilion - 2 Cinema tickets
Gun Brewery - 6 Cans of ale
Football America - Philadelphia Eagle's Superbowl ball
E P Sports - 2 NFL caps
Sports Bucks - 2 Balls
Luke Boorer - NFL merchandise
Peter Drake - Selection of wine
Dave Boorer - Bottle of Whiskey
