THE GRAPE PICKING ROLE
No experience necessary – this role will involve walking down the vines in a team, snipping off bunches of grapes using the snippers supplied and placing the bunches into the buckets provided – someone will come and empty your bucket as it gets full and provide you with an empty bucket. This role will involve lots of walking and working come rain or shine so a waterproof jacket is essential to have to hand, along with wellies or comfortable hardy waterproof walking boots.
This is a fabulous opportunity to support your local vineyard with their annual harvest, it is also a great way to meet new people from your local community, be out in the glorious countryside working in breath-taking surroundings and is great for exercise, what is not to love!
£10.08 per hour inclusive of holiday pay
Hours: 8am till 4.30/5pm Monday to Friday (Saturdays may be required – the vineyard have asked for some flexibility as they may have a need to pick on Saturdays)
Payment will be made at the end of the harvest unless arranged otherwise
We do require 100% attendance as there is only a small window of 3 weeks where the vineyard is able to pick in, so we really do require you full attendance for the duration of the assignment, as its all hands on deck before the wet weather and frost arrives that in turn will damage the grape crops.
