‘Fred the Head’ to help simplify explanations to Cancer Patients in Sussex

We recently purchased an anatomically precise 3D head model for the Head & Neck Team at Brighton. The model will be used to explain to patients details of their conditions and treatment plans more easily. The model is life-size and shows muscles, nerves, vessels, and bony structures.

The picture shows Robyn Payne, Macmillan Nuse specialist, Head & Neck, and Natelle Sarens, Specialist Nurse/Junior Sister with ‘Fred the Head’ as they have affectionally named him.

” Fred is really going to help when explaining more fully to patients about their cancer and treatment programmes.”

Many thanks to the friends and family of Chris Milton who raised funds for this important piece of equipment.
