Sunday the 18th of March saw a team from the HoundDogs travel to Chislehurst, the home of Kent Exiles, for some fun warm up games of Flag American Football.

The games were more based around development, learning and gaining experience for HoundDogs team.

In all the Hound scored 5 TD’s in the 3, 20 minutes games including 2TDs from Jessica Powell, 2 TD for Joe Powell and one TD for River Chukwu-Onu on his debut.

HoundDogs Flag Coach, Jamie Powell added "We had a great day at the exiles last Sunday. After a slightly nervous start we soon settled in with this being only the first or second matches for most of our players. We drew in ben and Charlie’s experience and the team started to produce plays and defended well. Some excellent tackles made by river in his first outing. Adam started well at quarterback but was caught out very briefly when the the opposition started to blitz. He did however overcome this very well and started side stepping, making passes and running plays using his natural pace. Ben also stepped in at qb and threw some excellent balls and also for a touchdown catch. Charlie was really consistent in all the games at centre and also tacklckled well. Jess ran in a couple of scores using her pace and joe caught and ran in a couple with cuts and speed. All in it was a great experience for the HoundDogs and one we can really build on for further upcoming fixtures... thanks to all"
