We're over the moon to be able to announce that following the Crowborough Beacon Golf Club’s annual general meeting on Saturday, the Children’s Respite Trust has received a cheque for £6,215!
This enormous donation followed the Children’s Respite Trust being chosen by Gerald Bonner, the 2015 Club Captain, to be their charity of the year.
The Club held a highly successful Captain’s Weekend in the summer, which raised around half of the funds donated.
When presenting the cheque, Gerald Bonner paid tribute to his family and fellow Club members for their support in fundraising for his chosen charity.
We’d like to sincerely thank the Crowborough Beacon Golf Club for all of their fundraising efforts and activities as well as thanking the staff and local businesses who have helped the Club in their fundraising.
This donation is the largest single local donation that the Trust has ever received, and we cannot express enough how beneficial this money will be to families of disabled children throughout Sussex.
