This week the Chief Constable, East Sussex Divisional Commander and I hosted our second Community Conversation event, held at the Winter Garden inEastbourne.
The purpose of these events is to set the context for policing in Sussex and, most importantly, provide an opportunity for residents to pose questions about topical issues directly to their police chiefs.
We were delighted to be joined on the Panel by Christina Ewbank, Chief Executive of the Eastbourne Chamber of Commerce, who represented the interests of the local business community.
Local newspaper editor, Keith Ridley, chaired the Q&A session, which covered a wide variety of topics including street drinking, visible policing, and protecting our ports and borders.
A video log captured at the event can be viewed online and you can follow the conversation on Twitter using hashtag #TalkSussex. The next Community Conversation will take place in West Sussex in the New Year. Please keep an eye on my website for further information.
Best wishes
