Each year, we look after hundreds of local children with life-shortening conditions, their siblings and families, both in their own homes and at the hospice itself, giving them the chance to live life to the full – for as much time as they have together.

But, it’s not enough. Because for every child with a life-shortening conditions we care for in East Sussex, there is another with their hands up, waiting for our help.

It currently costs well over £3.5m each year to provide all of our care services. Families are never charged for this and less than 7 pence in every pound is funded by central government, so we rely heavily on the generosity, help and support of the people of Sussex.

Here in East Sussex our goal is to double the number of children that we are caring for in the area. To do that we need to raise more money and awareness and we need local people like you to put your Hands Up! and say “Yes! I’ll help these children.”

Whatever your passions and skills there are plenty of opportunities for you to put your Hands Up! and help Chestnut Tree in East Sussex.
