A lovely old hotel, very conveniently located just off the main street, and not far from the train station. Our room had a sitting area and bedroom, so was quite spacious. The bathroom was small and the shower was a disappointment (poor water pressure, difficult to control the water temperature, a bit cramped for size.) The fellow on reception was very friendly and helpful.

Great location to walk anywhere and friendly staff. Big room and good breakfast made hot and fresh. Book on their website as it’s cheaper than on 3rd party ones.

Dieses B&B ist absolut in Ordnung um hier mal kurz abzusteigen. Die Betten sind sehr bequem und in der Ausstattung fehlt es an nichts. Klare Empfehlung.

Very good B&B , I have mild autism, staff very friendly and helpful and understanding. Would highly recommend for single traveler, would recommend if you have very mild autism to, they even served breakfast early for me as I have difficulty with noise, my room was very quiet and clean, the staff made me feel safe and welcome, breakfast was good to, I had fresh coffee and orange juice, toast, beans sages and egg, could of had a tomatto to, but im not keen, also a chose of cerials, fruit and yoghurt, they have a fridge also in the dinning room, I could use to keep my drinks cold, the car park is great, parked my car all week, did not need to use it, as everything is in walking distance, shops, pier, beach, restaurants, places of intrest, life boat, cinima and Fort, I had a great time, went to some great shows to, all within walking distance, not forgetting the band stand to, Thank you : ) 2nd visit 2018 and still would recommend.

Good location, not happy to pay as soon as I arrived without seeing my accommodation.
Breakfast was good. Got email to make me aware of tennis tournament taking place, that happened the week before I arrived!

My wife and I stayed in room 21. The receptionist was friendly and explained the layout to us. The room was larger than one would find in many more modern hotels. The room was spotlessly clean and the decor was pleasant. The bed was large and comfortable. The Sheldon was almost full and most of the other guests were attending a tennis tournament. The breakfast next morning was also very good. Most people were, like us, were enjoying a full English breakfast although there was also a buffet with fruit, cereals and juices.
We left our car in the Sheldon's private car park at the back of the hotel.
The only disappointment for us was the rather insipid shower. The water pressure was so low it reminded me of the old fashioned electric showers that one had to put up with years ago.
The Sheldon's location is just about perfect. It is within easy walking distance of all of Eastbourne's attractions and plenty of resturants. We liked it.

Absolutely perfect in every way! They think of everything - and more! Beautifully quiet, private parking, large comfortable room, gorgeous breakfast, lots of little extras. This will be first choice for future trips top Eastbourne.

It was the 1st time we had stopped at the Sheldon and were extremely pleased.
We had a lovely room, the owners were very friendly and it is convenient for the town or the beach. It has the added advantage of car parking as well, we visit eastbourne during the year and will be using the Sheldon again

Single room, small but comfortable. Staff helpful and friendly. Off the main Parade but close to amenities and the beach. Off road free parking very useful, though access pretty narrow for larger vehicles. Has small common room and children's playroom next door.

Can’t fault it . Great to be able to park in their car part before even checking in saves a lot of time looking for somewhere to park before you check-in to the hotel. Lovely clean very big room with a great welcome tray. Lovely toiletries slippers and bath robes. All in all a lovely hotel . Would recommend 100%.

We had a break in Eastbourne and chose the Sheldon for it's proximity to the Theatres, the town and the seafront. We were delighted with the location. As a very pleasant bonus we enjoyed and immaculate room, and an outstanding freshly cooked breakfast. Very pleasant and helpful staff and a great stay.

We had a friendly welcome on arrival from Judith and Greg.
Our room was very spacious with a large ensuite. Plenty of storage space.
There was also a sofa and easy chair. It was kept very clean and tidy during our 4 night stay.
There was plenty of choice for the cooked breakfast and juices and cereals to start. All served in a large dining room by friendly staff happy to help.
The car park at the rear of the B&B was a huge plus and the lift to all floors was very helpful.
The Sheldon is situated close to the seafront. As we were going to the bandstand for a show this was ideal.
We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return. Thankyou.

I stayed for 7 nights at The Sheldon this October and it was just fab. In 2016 I already stayed at this B&B which is definately more to me than just a B&B cause Judith and Greg manage The Sheldon like a family hotel. And they do their job very very good – always helpful and always with a smile on their face.
Furthermore The Sheldon is located not far from the High Street and it takes only two minutes by foot to the sea front.
To be honest – I can’t wait until I return!

We stayed for one night . Car park had a couple of spaces but there was no way my car was getting into them unfortunately so had to park some way away and as it was raining this wasn't ideal ! Room was clean and good size ,only negative was the bathroom which was small but main issue was the shower .The water was so hot we couldn't use it even though we played around with it for ages . I stay in hotels every week with my work so am quite expert on showers workings ! I did report it when checking out and the receptionist seemed surprised . A shower is a must and although the hotel is in good condition this room (24) needs a new shower . If we had showered in the evening we would have asked for it to be looked at but this was the morning unfortunately .
Breakfast was very nice although staff serving could have been a little more friendly !

Very practical in all respects. The location is a short stroll to both the sea-front and the town centre. The car park is really useful and was practical for our medium-ish family estate, if you have a very large car I suggest checking with the owners.
The breakfast process worked well, with a reasonable range of things to help yourself to and cooked breakfasts were pleasant, well timed and with pleasant service.
Our room (superior twin/double) was spacious, comfortable, well furnished and fitted.
It suited us very well and, if staying in Eastbourne again, we would very likely have this as our first choice.

It calls itself a B&B rather than a hotel, but it's somewhere in-between (in other words, it is better than it claims). It's not a pretentious place, but very well thought out; the room we stayed in supplied everything that you could possibly need (dressing gowns, slippers, tea/coffee making facilities, an iron and ironing board, a hairdryer of course, and much more). It was scrupulously clean and well-decorated, and elegantly sized. This is a very professionally thought-out place, and vey well run. At a good price too.
