Good sized double room with a massive bed, free wifi and parking.
Lovely breakfast with a good selection.
We couldn’t really fault anything on our stay and the couple who own the place were really friendly and great to chat too.
Will definitely come back

I booked the Sheldon B&B as accommodation for our family and friends who were attending my son's wedding.
From the moment of booking, the Sheldon was very accommodating of our requests - I wanted all our guests to congregate in the main lounge (even those who weren't staying) as our transport to the wedding was to be a route master bus. We had the use of the lounge for pre and post wedding drinks (we provided the drink, but a fridge, ice and glasses were made available).
Nothing was too much trouble, all of the rooms i booked were comfortable and clean and our guests commented that they had a great night's sleep!
Breakfast was lovely, a great choice of cooked and continental food was available.
My 2 year old great niece thought it was fabulous that there was a selection of toys to play with in the children's lounge.
One of the main selling points was a parking space for each room, which is great when parking in the surrounding roads is limited to time and pay and display.
Thank you Sheldon B&B for helping to make our wedding weekend perfect!

As a family of 5 with small children, it is always difficult to find suitable hotel accommodation. We stayed at the Sheldon for the third year in a row and once again the service was second to none. The staff and owners are incredibly friendly and always greeted us with a smile. The staff were available to help at any moment, whether it was needing extra towels, use of a fridge or freezer or even using facilities to make sandwiches etc which was incredibly helpful when have 3 children under 10. The room was a great size, perfectly clean and despite being hottest bank holiday ever we still didn’t need the giant fan that was in the wardrobe if need be. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were always accommodating to our individual needs. They have a basket of beach toys available for the children to borrow, which saved us buying beach toys for a once a year trip. The owners provided us with discounts and advice for other activities and restaurants because they know every penny counts on holiday. As always, Judith and Greg went out their way to help us have a great time and we look forward to seeing them again next year.

We have just got back from staying at The Sheldon for 3 nights. On arrival we found the carpark to be full. When checking in we were advised there was a tennis tournament on and people had used their car park. Not good when you read that there is 1 parking space to each room! However the hotel is run but a lovely friendly couple. We had a double room and this was a good size. Room was clean. Only down side was towels were not changed once while we stayed.
Breakfast was lovely, food is cooked to order. Lots of choice for cereal's.
The hotel is located close to the seafront and town centre. Plenty of places to choose from to eat.

We have just stayed here for our second year in a row and was it utterly fantastic,so we have already booked for next year. The rooms are spacious and exactly as described, spotlessly clean with all you need as in home from home, the staff are warm friendly and welcoming the breakfast is plentiful with lots of choice, all in all first class and our first choice every time if planning to come to Eastbourne. Eastbourne itself has lots to offer, see and do from a lovely prom walk to state of the art shopping centre complete with quality cinema.
We had an overnight stay in August 2019 in a superior double room and were extremely impressed with both the service and the quality of the room. We had a huge bed with quality bedding for a comfortable nights sleep and a lovely en-suite which was clean and well equipped - the water was hot and the water pressure was good. The location was good for us (near the Devonshire Park tennis) and had a lift and a car park which were both very helpful. The husband and wife team that own the hotel were extremely helpful and friendly and I would highly recommend their hotel. I will definitely stay here when I next visit Eastbourne.
Reply from The Sheldon B&B: Thank you. I'm sorry it went a bit wrong with your agent but very glad you enjoyed it inspire of this.

We booked a superior double room for an overnight stay and were not disappointed. I have stayed in some bad places in Eastbourne and this is definitely not one of them. The room was large and well equipped - even a fridge for your use. The bed was large and very comfortable with good quality bedding. The bathroom was clean and well equipped with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. There was a mix up with our booking (NOT the hotels fault - please avoid AGODA like the plague!) and the hotel bent over backwards to accommodate us - really lovely people. Free parking/car park available for your use which is really handy. The husband and wife team that own the hotel were very personable and helpful and I would definitely stay here again. There is also a very helpful lift to get to the second floor where we stayed.
Our favourite hotel in Eastbourne. Always a warm welcome and the breakfast is excellent (lots of choice of cereals, yoghurts, teas, and a variety of hot options, and the best pancakes). Rooms are comfortable and have everything you need - TV, tea tray, ensuite facilities, comfy beds, easy chairs or sofa. The smaller rooms are ideal for a one night stay and the deluxe rooms are bigger and ideal for a longer stay. The lounge rooms are great for relaxing, meeting friends , and one is set up for families to play with children. Free car park for patrons. The hotel is ideally placed for the shopping centre and the sea front. Staff are friendly, polite, and helpful. We love it there and stay at least once a year.
I attended an EHA meeting at The Sheldon where Judith played host. It was a great meeting and love all the changes made since appearing on the Hotel Inspector. Keep up the great work.
Reply from The Sheldon B&B: Thank you very much

Once again we have had a great 4 night stay. Our spacious superior room, plentiful well cooked breakfast and friendly staff were all big plus’s, as is the car park at the rear of the b&b.
We enjoyed 2 tribute bands at the bandstand which is only a very short walk away. With the shops and the seafront close by The Sheldon was perfectly placed for our stay in Eastbourne.
We would also like to thank all the staff who helped us when we had to make an unscheduled visit to A&E.
We hope to return to The Sheldon when next we visit Eastbourne. Thankyou

The hotel is located practically on the seaside, in walking distance of the Pier. There is an off street parking at the back of the property. Staff was friendly and polite, the room was clean and neat. Breakfast was very good and there is a lift to all the floor. On the slightly negative side, the double bed was a bit small and the shower lacked pressure (we were on the second floor).

We booked a last minute trip to the coast and were pleasantly surprised by this lovely family run B and B. We had a surprise upgrade to accommodate our young family and were impressed by the cleanliness, contemporary decor and attention to detail. A great location just a few minutes walk from the beach. A great selection of breakfast options with a willingness to accommodate. The welcome information pack was great and was very thoughtfully put together. The warmth shown by Judith and her family made us want to return for a longer stay! We will and when we do we will book directly👍🏾
Our young Family were made to feel most welcome.
Thank you for a lovely stay and a great night’s sleep in a beautifully comfortable and sumptuous bed 😊

Really enjoyed our stay here. It was very clean and tidy everywhere. Comfy beds. Good English breakfast served in a large airy dining room. Staff were very friendly. Lots of hot water in the bathroom, when it gets there, you must allow for the fact that the building is Victorian. Plenty of soft towels and a good amenity tray provided. Short walk to the beach and a large car park. Prices are very reasonable as well. Eastbourne offers a lot of choices to stay, but I think this one is a real find. I am sure it would come into its own if you were a family with small children as everything has been though of to make your stay enjoyable and easy.

We live quite close to Eastbourne but decided to stay 1 night as we were going to the Theatre, which was a short walk and the town centre too. The room was lovely, clean and a very comfortable bed, also coffee/tea available to make in room. Breakfast was very tasty and well presented. We didn't use the lounge but that looked very comfortable. A big bonus is there is a car park too. Already passed details onto to friends who also like to stay in Eastbourne and I'm sure we will again.

I found the Sheldon a friendly, welcoming and relaxed b&b with large rooms and even larger breakfasts, off-road parking and some sea views. It is a block from the seafront, pier and bandstand and a short walk from trains, buses and shopping centre. I would certainly stay there again.

We stopped at The Sheldon for 1 night on a weekend visit to Eastbourne. I don’t think we could have made a better choice. We booked a superior double and wow, the room was superior in every way. Huge and very comfortable double bed, in a huge room, with sofa, shower and separate bath. Location is superb, literally a 50 mtr walk to the seafront, and in the opposite direction 50 mtrs to some lovely restaurants. A lovely touch in the room was a cream tea available with the tea/coffee. All this at a very competitive price. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Eastbourne, then look no further than The Sheldon.

We stayed here for a single night en route to another destination but would definitely stay again. The room we had (18) was huge, with the worlds most comfortable bed! Great location, clean and warm. Plenty of parking at the rear and a quiet road with no traffic noise. We did not have breakfast as we had to leave but would certainly like to try that too!
