Everything is good, but in the lobby the furniture is quite old and not in good condition

There were lots of spider webs on the outside of the windows as well as no air conditioning. The view is gorgeous. The staff were nice, but the food was just okay. The fire alarm had a false alarm while we were there at 1:30 am. That was not fun. We left early because we couldn't sleep after that.

My second time visiting The Grand, a lovely, pleasant homely and cosy stay. Friendly, polite and efficient hotel team. My room was very comfortable, love the pillows! The food was spot on as always and the pool facilities were wonderful to use. I will be coming back!

We had a lovely stay here.
Welcomed by friendly reception staff and concierge.
Room was very clean and had everything you could need.
Great variety of drinks and food. Breakfast was really good too.
Parking was easy for us with many spaces available.
A very nice hotel with friendly staff.
We will definitely stay here again.

It's a beautiful old building, but our room was certainly not a reflection of the price we paid, it was the same or even lower standard of an average priced hotel, we definitely feel we paid well over the top for our room. No on site parking unless you were prepared to pay £25 a day, we had a drink in the bar on the first evening and a cheese and pickle sandwich accompanied by a few crisps and a tiny cup of soup, the bread was dry and not very appetising but the bill was £49 needless to say we ate elsewhere on other evenings. On the plus side the breakfast was really nice, plenty of choice and the staff really helpful. Unfortunately we will not be staying again.

Had a lovely time and so did my partner.
Food was great, staff were great, and generous, they allowed us to make use of out of date vouchers, facilities were the best.
Very relaxing, I would definitely visit again.

Lovely birthday afternoon tea, delicious and flavoursome food. A variety of choice, gentle surroundings and a nice touch to celebrate a friends special day by an unexpected token cake and service, well done much enjoyed.

Old style luxury... rooms are very small.
Out of the main Eastbourne... but only 10 minutes walk back into the real town.
Staff are very helpful.
Seriously overpriced.

Dissatisfied with our room. Were promised a room similar to the one we had in 2023 but nowhere near as nice with no chance of changing.

A lovely hotel and staff are always helpful and polite. Great to have air conditioning in the bedroom during the hot weather spell and the outside swimming pool was very welcome.

Have been here twice now, once in 2021 and again May 2024. By far the best hotel on the south coast. Lovely rooms, beautiful interior and clean facilities with attentive staff. I'm maybe being harsh not rating 5 stars, I just felt a little like something had slipped off for me on my most recent visit. There was a very odd band playing in the lounge and atmosphere was strange. Drinks so expensive and rowdy wedding goers coming in and out making a racket. Didn't want to spend the evening in the hotel at all, which I would want to given how much I've paid for the room. Overall still a lovely stay, and would recommend. I just feel if I'm paying that amount of money to stay in a hotel then I should actually want to spend time there

A beautiful hotel with stunning sea views. The decor is grand and old-style. The staff could not be more helpful and attentive. The meal was very special and we deeply enjoyed our stay.

We had my mother's 80th birthday lunch at the hotel. I can not fault the dedication of the staff in making sure the event went smoothly. Many thanks to Keira and the team at the hotel for helping me organise the day and for delivering excellent service on the day. A truly wonderful and memorable day. Also the Mirabelle restaurant is also excellent for a special evening out.
